Chilean president Sebastian Piñera (right wing) was filed with a constitutional accusation to be impeached by the opposition due to recent leaked information on his family's business dealings.
Today the chamber of diputies is voting for or against it and the voting is exceptionally tight this time by ONE vote to meet the quorum. And unluckily, one of the left winged diputies is on quarantine for being in direct contact with one of the current candidates for the presidency that tested positive for covid-19 2 weeks ago, and that quarantine ends TONIGHT, which is the vote needed to approve said accusation
And here's where the story takes a twist: one of the left wing diputies in session decided to extend the voting session by reading 1,300 pages of the acussation (which is absolutely legal) and by doing so, they'd be voting past 12am of tuesday which is when the quarantine of the vote needed ends.
The session started at 10am this morning and he's still reading word by word at the slowest possible pace up until past 12am so the other guy can finish his quarantine, take an antigen test to make sure, head to the voting session and vote in favor of the accusation to impeach the president lmao.....
