We are now down to the final four, and this is the last round before the grand finale. Where one of you will become the champion of this music series.
For your semi final challenge, I am so glad I was able to do this in July. It only makes sense.
Challenge: Christmas In July
Now I hate Christmas music. But I want you guys to change my mind. You will be tasked to send in a Christmas submission. Doesn't matter on genre or how old. It just needs to have holiday cheer. For this challenge, I took some tips and ideas from people on Tengaged. After some self-deliberation, I found one that works!
Challenge: Songs Of The Dead
This challenge will ask you to send in a submission of a song by an artist that is no longer here with us. Simple and to the point. I will say to be weary on submitting certain songs as they have been done before (Back To Black, Beat It, Smooth Criminal to name a few). So if you accidentally submit a song already done, I will PM you and have you submit again.
Three of you will shine and will have access to the semi finals, but only one can win it. The two losers will have to earn their spot.

⭐ THEME 8 🎼 SIDE A / SIDE B ⭐
◼ At this point it's only better to ask more than one submission, you'll need to work harder if you want that finale spot!
For this episode, you're sending TWO songs.
It can be any two songs you like (if they respect the rules written under this), and they'll have to be the complete opposite of one another.
Last season I did a similar theme, but it was already determined that one song had to sound a specific way, and the same for the other one, but for this round you choose everything.
You choose the two songs and explain to me why they are opposites, maybe they're explaining complete different points of view on something; maybe one talks about the beauty of love while the other one talks about how love is useless and we need to think about ourselves first.
It could even be a difference in the genre, you could be sending Phoebe Bridgers for one song and Metallica for the other, you have access to everything and any explanation will be accepted and analyzed.

oswordo3, you're safe! The whole vibes and vocals were very similar to the song I gave you and it convinced me to keep you in the game. Although the songs talk about different things they make me feel similar emotions, and make me feel so serene.
This means reallyreally has been eliminated. I could hear R&B influences in the song, but it also felt a little too pop-ish in my opinion and way faster than I remembered. It's still a very good song. This was your first tiebreaker and you faced another strong competitor so it was sad to kick you off the game, but you'll be remembered for many good submissions that although weren't round victory worthy, always kept you off the rock bottom.
6 people remain, from next round things get more serious, and they get even more more serious as we go on, I mean duh we're reaching the finale.

Well first off I want to say thank you guys for your namesake submissions. It was a neat category with some neat results. As I stated from here on out you're either in the top, or you're in the bottom. So let's get to the critiques.
LaCroix "Stacy's Mom" by Fountain of Wayne
So this is a timely classic that majority of us over 18 have listened to. It's a nice song for people to listen to. However I feel compared to other submissions this round it falls in the lower three. I guess it's not a song I typically would enjoy, and once the other submissions rolled around it just feel behind. Sorry :/
Mrkk "Lolita" by Lana Del Rey
So Lana is an artist that you either love, or you hate. There is no in between. I am obsessed with this lesbian fantasy for one, and then two this song was awesome! It's a nice mix of ballad and pop. Makes it more enjoyable for any party or car ride. I think you deliver this round, and have really been a shine in the last few rounds!
Zeptis "Jerome" by Lizzo
This song was cool. The way Lizzo sings and carries her songs is just unique. There is so few with her range. It's just in a realm of it's own. I never get a chance to visit her non single songs. Because I am a basic lesbian anyways lol. So it is very refreshing to see you submit this. A good round for you, and I can't wait to see what you bring next!
SugarLove "Angela" by The Lumineers
So I do love The Lumineers. They are a nice band with a very humble background. However I feel this song was not the best of submissions this round. It's a nice song, and the sound is beautiful. But I feel all in all it fell just a tad short amonst the rest of the submissions. I'm sorry.
CJtheIslander "Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder
So I will say that this song was fun. How Stevie performs is something that is very amazing and is a voice all on it's own. My critiques are more on the lines of being knit picky. I wish it wasn't a live submission. While it was still done well, I just felt a little more producing would have been better.
Kindred7 "Sofia" by Alvaro Soler
So this was fresh compared to the rest of the submissions. I do love that it was in a different language, but you felt an understanding on what the song was about. It was very catchy, very fun, and it felt like a good energy! All in all, I think you delivered a nice submission!
Mrkk, Zeptis, Kindred. You three delivered this round and are advancing to the quarter finals. But there can be only one winner in this name game.

Starting off with...
⭐ BigBrotherDonny - Avicii ft. Rita Ora - Lonely Together
⚫ Me - This was very enjoyable and a cute listen overall but far too basic. I think she has way better songs and here she just feels like some normal voice with no personality. The production's great I guess, Avicii's a legend and forever will be.
⚫ Maxi - This song means a LOT to me. This song was released on a day that is very closely held to my heart, and it’s technically the song that got me hooked on Rita. I remember this song so vividly in 2017. It’s such a fantastic masterpiece, and I’m happy this was submitted! Good job!
⭐ oswordo3 - Rita Ora x Imanbek - Bang Bang
⚫ Me - I don't like this very much, the lyrics are weird, this samples another bad song, and it just looks like a completely different side of her that she just doesn't belong to. This is not her genre at all and no matter how catchy the chorus can sound, the rest is just unbearable.
⚫ Maxi - People really like this song, and I can understand why. It isn’t, however, my favourite off the EP and I find it OKAY! It’s just not lyrically her best work, and it doesn’t showcase her vocal abilities very much. I like it a lot, but it kind of got lost in translation a bit. Good job nonetheless!
⭐ Spyder701 - Rita Ora - Only Want You
⚫ Me - This is very good and completely different from anything I've heard this round. Stands out in a very good way, although it's a single, it's a very nice submission. The high notes are so good and satisfying I adored this. Amazing work
⚫ Maxi - I remember this being the first single after Phoenix and it was… fine. I’m not too hyped on her slower, more R&B type songs. I like them, but I think she shines more when she gets to showcase her vocal range with a bit of an upbeat instrumental. Good song, just not the direction I tend to go to when I jam out to Rita!

Ten down, six remain. I must inform you guys that for the rest of the time here there is no such thing as safe. You're either the strongest or the weakest. So I will be a tad more critical with each submission. #MusicTaste
For this next challenge I felt inspired by Tinder. No really I did. My friend was showing me some matches (side note they're fucking ugly), and I realized that there are songs with some names in them. As cheesy as this challenge could be, I feel this is an idea now before I forget lol.
Challenge: What's My Name?
This challenge will ask you to submit any song of your choosing, but the title of the song has to feature a name. So examples would be "Ilona" or "Loca for Ilona". Fuck that is cringy....
Anyways, the user that submits the best song will be the victor. Two worst will face and elimination that knows the meaning of humiliation....kind of anyways.

Moving on, to the next theme! And it's more special than ever.
⭐ THEME 7 🎼 A SPECIAL "RITA ORA" EPISODE! ⭐
◼ Never hosted an episode completely dedicated to a single artist, and I think it's finally time to do so!
For this episode, we'll take a look at some of Rita Ora's discography, and you guys will have to submit one song from her!
For this round, the usual rules don't make sense since Rita was never used in Season 1, but still, don't send her biggest hits and pretend you're going to win this easily.
Obviously, as someone that has never listened to Rita Ora this seriously and that cannot give her a complete fair judgement, I've invited a special guest from Season 1 to guest judge with me! (Yes I did this again)
Welcoming Maxi1234! He is a HUGE Rita Ora fan or Ritabot as they're usually called, so both me and him are going to award from 7 to 1 point to your entries based on how much we like them!
So yeah since it's a theme about an artist the only rule is don't be unoriginal. The entries will be simply ranked based on how much we like them.
The two players with the lowest score will face each other in the tiebreaker, and in case of ties my votes will break those ties DUHHHHHHHHHH.
