This is it… after all this time in what has been the longest season of Nano’s Big Brother ever, even longer than a standard season of the REAL Big Brother… this is the final blog of the season.
I have gotten all the jury votes I possibly can, and now it is time to crown the winner.
Now, unfortunately we have a record first… THREE jurors didn’t vote.
Those jurors, obviously, are Cody, Maria and Eleanor.
And unfortunately, in another first… this marks the first time where we couldn’t get 5 active votes for one finalist to win.
This situation was my worst nightmare… without 5 active voters for one person, it just doesn’t feel like we’re crowning the winner fairly, regardless of who ends up winning.
However, I decided to do the best possible thing I could to help try to make things fair.
Ordinarily, I would simply just randomize the votes of jurors who didn’t vote. This was always when we already had 5 votes for one person, though. Since we don’t have those votes, I will not be randomizing the votes of our 3 inactive jurors. Instead, I looked at their active history throughout this game and made my BEST ESTIMATE as to who they would’ve voted for. I will provide reasoning as to why I believe each juror would have voted this way as I reveal Cody’s, Maria’s and Eleanor’s votes.
Now that that’s all out of the way… I say we finally get to it.

The final 2 is set… either Chris or Mikey will be crowned the winner of this season.
Ordinarily, now would be the time when the jury would ask questions to the jury about their gameplay. However, I did not receive any questions from the jury this season, so we will be skipping over this segment of the finale entirely.
The jury is moments away from casting their votes for the winner of Nano’s Big Brother 11.
Before they do, however, the final 2 will be given one last chance to plead their case and state why they deserve to win.

I want to start out and say Thank you to Nano for organizing this group game, as a college student I know it's tough to handle at the moment, so props to you for keeping this going!
And to the jury, My game has been largely defined as mainly passive, with bits and pieces of offense. You may look at that as a weakness, not making any defining moves. But that's not the case at all. While this game started slow, I started planting myself as an unknowing threat ever since the double eviction. After my nomination in the double eviction, I knew I needed some sort of safety, or agency to further put me in a position of upward momentum. So, the powers available from the Nomes (as mine was three weeks of safety from weeks 7 to week 9) led me to throwing caution to the wind, and making connections with people such as Tim, Brandon, who would later win some crucial competitions, and Gabs who was a number people weren’t taking...

Chris… as the outgoing Head of Household, you are not eligible to compete.
This competition is called “𝗪𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗨𝗽 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝟮.𝟬”.
For this competition, you will once again be guessing what time I will wake up tomorrow. However, this time there will be one twist.
You cannot go over. If you go over the correct time, you will be disqualified (unless everyone happens to go over).
The player who comes the closest to the correct time that I wake up without going over will be the new Head of Household!
Please keep these things in mind when making your guess on what time I’ll wake up:
1. I live in the Central American time zone.
2. I have gone to bed at 5:00 in the morning for the past couple of days. However, I usually only ended up sleeping for 6-7 hours on those days.
3. Just because that has been my sleeping schedule for a couple days doesn’t mean it will be the same tonight! I’m going to attempt to sleep a little earlier.

Top 10! Congratulations! You have survived the first heat, but now we keep it rolling.
Pride is a very important for all LGBTQIA+. As a pansexual it hits home to me! Anyone should live their truth and they shouldn't have to be cooped up in one bubble.
So get ready, because it is PRIDE TIME! For this challenge, I need to submit to me a song that pertains to anything in the LGBTQIA+ community.
It can be of the following:

kingjames13: Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey
T: This is an iconic song, but it’s not my favorite Journey song. Steve Perry is so good, and parts of the song are actually pretty bass heavy which I love.
B: I have loved this song forever! I love the build and it’s so uplifting! It’s a great dedication too!
lukesurvives: Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler
T: Classic. Periodt. Hard to hate this song.
B: I’ve listened to this song so many times but it still hits!
joshgillespie: Eye of the Tiger by Survivor
T: This song is definitely iconic. I’m not super into it as I don’t think there’s enough about it to keep me interested during the whole duration of the song. The riff is iconic, but isn’t enough to make the song for me.
B: oh I remember the pain of finals! This is a great song and always so much fun!

T: This is definitely an underrated Janet song. Love the track. My only gripe would be the track kind of overpowers her in some parts. But overall, a good song.
B: This is a good song but not a favourite of mine. I like your dedication too 😊.

T: This a really fun song. It has that classic 80s pop sound, and I really dig that.
B: Oh Chels! Your dedication makes me see this as your fight song and I love it! It’s such a fun song and Elton is such a talent!

T: Love me some Stevie. This isn’t my favorite song of his, but I still really enjoy it.
B: This is not my favourite song but it’s very sweet and I love that you dedicated it to Kobe! I know how much you love him and that kind of connection is so special!
BBlover96: Nothing’s Gonna Change My Love For You by George Benson
T: I’m not much of a sadboi so slow songs like this are kind of hit or miss for me. I’m not a big fan of the vocals, and that really has to be there for me to really get into a slow song. I appreciate the message behind the song and your dedication, but this song isn’t for me.
B: I love this song. And your dedication! Ugh I can’t wait for you to find your person and have this kind of love ❤️

T: I lowkey really enjoy Foreigner, and this is a really good song. Love the bass in this song, and that ONE GUITAR! Good pick!

T: Definitely a classic, but it isn’t something I’m super into. It is fun and catchy though, so points for that.
B: it’s ABBA… I have a place in my heart for the ABBA songs I listened to growing up. This is probably just beaten out by the other ABBA submission but I do enjoy this song.
valgarfield: Barracuda by Heart
T: I dig some Heart. They really go hard, and I love that about them. This song really just takes me back to my guitar hero days.
B: I’ve never been a huge fan of this song. I’ve listened to it again and I kinda like the message but I still don’t overly enjoy the song.
Mrkk: Dream On by Aerosmith
T: This isn’t my favorite Aerosmith song. I mostly just find this to be kind of boring. There are some cool guitar licks that brighten up the song a bit, but overall, it’s not my favorite.
B: I like most of this song… until Steve Tyler takes it to that next level, it could do without that. I also loved it being used by Eminem many years later!

T: Yeah, I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who doesn’t like this song.
B: This is an iconic song. I love Freddy and this masterful piece of work has lived throughout the decades!

T: Classic. Iconic. It has soul, it has funk, it has everything.
B: I do love this song. I also like the Taylor cover of it of course!

T: This song is honestly such a vibe. I love how smooth and soulful this is.
B: I haven’t heard this song before and can’t say I’m a huge fan!

T: I’m not sure if I was confusing this for a different song, or if I just hadn’t heard it in so long that I forgot what it sounded like. I do like how dynamic the song is, but it’s not something I’d continue to listen to.
B: This is one of those songs I forget that I know until I hear it and I’m like oh yeah! Good pick.
galaxies: I Want You Back by The Jackson 5
T: I do enjoy this song. The baseline is solid, and I’m all about that. Not my favorite Jackson 5 song, but it’s a nice choice.
B: THIS is exactly what I wanted from this round! You literally hit my mood bang on!
joshgillespie: Mamma Mia by ABBA
T: This song was kind of cute. I found the “tick tock” melody in the background to be a little overwhelming and kind of annoying. But you can always count on ABBA to deliver a fun, feel good song.
B: Here I go again… ABBA… I do enjoy this song! It just feels a bit more fun than the other ABBA..

T: I totally forgot this song existed. It’s so fun, and that bass at the end slaps.
B: This was either a song I didn’t know or one I haven’t heard in forever! It was fun and that music video was something!

T: This song was so good. It wasn’t too slow, had a great sound, and that sax - woo!
B: I do love INXS and this song is a ballad I love belting out tbh! You’re probably right that this doesn’t get the appreciation it deserves because very few Aussie artists do!

T: Pretty iconic. Not sure if I would’ve used it for this theme though. I’m not super into the lead’s voice, but he is super talented regardless.
B: I’ve heard this way too many times for it to be a forgotten or under appreciated song. I don’t mind the song but it’s not something I would choose to play.
carolinasteele: Too Young To Fall in Love by Motley Crue
T: Honestly love some good 80s hair metal. I liked this song, but it kind of fell flat towards the end. It got pretty repetitive, and left me wanting a bit more.
B: I liked the blast from the past factor in Motley Crue but this isn’t a song I loved. I think it fits well with the theme though!
galaxies: With or Without You by U2
T: I’m not the biggest U2 fan. It has a chill soft, rock kind of vibe that I like, but I think there are other songs and bands that scratch that itch for me.
B: This is another song I feel is more popular as opposed to forgotten but it’s also a song that has featured in a number of big moments like when Ross and Rachel first got together and then when they were in a fight.
woeisme: Pink Houses by John Mellencamp
T: Fun fact: I went to college with John Mellencamp’s son. I dabble in some John Mellencamp (Authority Song is THAT song), and I thought this was ok. This is just a little slow for my liking.
B: This was a great example of great, under appreciated music! I haven’t heard this song before despite actually listening to quite a bit of John Mellencamp growing up.
Fromawindow: Rosanna by Toto
T: I love this song. Like if I were to make a list of my favorite 80s songs, this would definitely make the cut. It’s fun, has a great beat, and is so easy to sing along to. Love it!
B: This! Toto are really known for Africa and yet there’s Rosanna, a great song waiting in the wings to be noticed! Great submission!
VanitySmurf: I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston
T: Classic Whitney. It’s not one of my favorites from her, but this is fun, catchy, and almost impossible to hate.

-Training-
Timothy seemed to excel with standard melee weapons. He also seemed to be good with just his own strength as well. However, by no surprise, he wasn’t great during the intelligence tests. Sparkle seemed to do great with Agility themed tests, and was pretty handy with a Bow and Arrow. However, she didn’t really talk to anyone during training... not even her district partner.
Seth and Dani were handy with knives. They also made a career alliance with each other, as well as Timothy from District 1.
Kaleb and Timberlie seem to be skilled with explosives. Timberlie also seems to be opening up to Kaleb more, and the two seem to be working together.
Mark and Ellie both seem to be great with Spears. They also performed well in strength tests. They have also seemed to team up with the other careers as well, but they were also ignored by Sparkle.
Dunkin seemed to perform well with most of the blunt force trauma causing weapons, while Xonox performed well with all of them. She’s clearly viewed as a front runner to win, but this isn’t what she wants.
Tycen and Agatha didn’t really do well in any of the tests because... they’re both 12. But they did seem to want to work together.
Matt and Jadine had excellent teamwork in the tests together, and they worked well in the intelligence tests. They seem to be handy with sharp handheld weapons.
Dennis performed above average with small handheld weapons, but didn’t really talk much with the other tributes. Ji surprised the panel by doing excessively well in the strength challenges, but the careers are still confident they can take her down.
Hayden seemed to work well in the intelligence challenges, but didn’t really do well with weapons. Rachelle tried her luck with the bow and arrow, and she got one of her shots close to the very center. She though this was her weapon, even though all of her other shots..
The third battle has come to a close. All of the songs this round truly made me feel like an angsty teenager. Well done! But this is a double elimination, which means that only 3 of you will make it out of this battle. Here are the rankings.
