Welcome back, baristas, for another shooting session (get it) of Absolita's Barista Contest! This week, you were all challenged to make shots that would get the party started. Which of you were the life of the party, and which ones of you are getting kicked out and calling the cops to report under-age individuals serving drinks out of spite??? That last line sounds kind of weird, so let's change the subject by getting into our winner of this week, who was...!
1st - MmabatlokoaMolefe - Honestly I really wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did, but the more I thought about it the more I was like hmmmmm yes. I think what you did really well was you kind of made your shot a fun activity. I'm familiar with these types of shots where you like bite into a lemon and it give you an unexpected flavor, but I've never tried it for myself and I think it would be really fun. So overall I think you chose a good direction, mostly because this would be something that I could easily make myself and that would be a fun & unique experience, and that's what really sold me on this. Also Bailey's & vodka is a serve of a combination.
2nd - turkeylover - Speaking of fun & unique, I think you nailed a similar vibe in a different way. I wasn't expecting anyone to go this risky with a flavor idea, but I actually think you were on the right vibe for the most part. I like that spicy powder from like little mexican candies and this totally gives me that vibe, and I think a spicy kick to a shot would really make it go down smoother, at least for someone like me who likes spicy flavors. Mango flavors have been like kind of overdone in this competition but you put enough of a spin on it that I wasn't that concerned. Also tequila was kind of a risky choice for a base but she is cute, so that's a bonus. I think in general this was a really quirky risk that paid off.
3rd - mastropola - So, this for me wasn't an insane risk in any way (except maybe choosing neon blue as a color, but that's b/c of the curacao so whatever), but it also seems pretty fun? I'm a pop rocks girl through and through so that's a big bonus for you, and otherwise this just seems like a pretty classic shot combo that you can't go wrong with. I am still suspicious of curacao as a concept but I think it was much less offensive this week because it did fit pretty well within the theme, and I've been conditioned into maybe not hating it because of the color of its skin now. #equality
4th - Weetmaster - I keep going back and forth on this submission, but I actually do like it for the most part, I think. On a different day this could easily be a winner or a loser just based on my mood, I could totally see me either loving this concept or nitpicking it to hell. That being said, I think the edible shot glass works for you and against you in ways, so I want to mostly talk about that. I like the idea of a cookie glass kind of..

Spamming people out of stars

Is sad and pathetic,
And if you honestly think that you're going to sway my vote by mailing me to vote someone out, you're dead wrong.
This is just a reminder to all you girls and or boys, never let some little gay (or straight, just assuming since it's tengaged) boy (or girl, again, tengaged) impact your vote.
You're your own person, so do whatever you want.
#Equality.
It doesn't matter if they're TV star.
They're just an ordinary F-lister in life.

my mom literally was furiously shaking me with happiness to wake up several times.
Annoyed I told her what was the matter.
and I could not believe my eyes, I was so happy I started crying.
Today was such a life changing day for me. I'm glad my mom got to share this moment with me because she was just as happy.

perplex my mind. Like, how do they play Rock Band or Guitar Hero? They can probably play the entire band between each other. Also, what about going to the movies... do they pay admission for one or two? If they only pay for one at the movies, the other should be blindfolded 'cause that just ain't fair #equality

Let's get things "straight" here

Apparently there has been a lot of hype lately on the Tengaged Blogs abut gays. But not just gays in general, about their web rights and the controversy around that.
I am 13 years old and I am openly gay. I am proud of who I am and I am not afraid to speak my mind and be open on the web about my homosexuality. Life is extremely tough for me. I've been hiding my feelings from my parents for 2 years now... And it only gets harder as time ticks by. And even if I wasn't gay, my home life is still shittier than the average American. I can't just jump on a laptop or turn a TV on my room or text my friends. Partly because 1) I don't have a laptop and whenever I log in on my com my account has time limits and restrictions 2) I only have 1 TV in my house so it's a war every night to see who gets it 3) I don't even have a phone. Instead, I have to wait till my parents go to sleep (10pm-12am at times) to sneak my iPod and play till 3am. I rarely get much sleep.
I believe that there are boundaries between gay people and straight people. Everyone has different emotion levels and some may be more sensitive to comments than the next guy. Personally, I am a sensitive person in reality but I can take a couple of jokes here and there on Tengaged! And other sites too! And about 90% of the time when people make a comment that may be offensive to gays, they are not even aware that a gay is in their fastings or wherever else it takes place. So it's not always intentional. And the other 10% of the time, people may be joking or just trying to put a smile on someone's face. Even though a smile on a person's face may cause another one to cry, this is the reality of things. I don't think that some comments should be said though.
However, under no circumstance do I believe that gays deserve more rights and should have special treatment compared to staright people. We are who we are. And there is nothing we can do (or we want to do) to change ourselves one bit. Liking the same sex for some people, is just like eating. It's something that they do and that they cannot change!
But what sickens me, is when people purposely attack the gay community to hurt someone's feelings. Although there people that disagree and do not like the way we live our lives, they still have no right to attack us for no particular reason!
Now, to address another issue, there has been controversy over a gay Tengaged member. Honestly, I do not know 100% of the situation. But all I do know, is that this person is saying that the word "faggot" cannot be used but "retard" can or something like that.
The word "retard" is offensive to another group of humans, autistic children! And nobody under any circumstances should say that word! I don't think "faggot" is a polite or acceptable word either, but the word "retard" is down-right cruel and hurtful. Instead of saying "retard" you can try expressing your feelings by using more..
