This event was not the first attempt at a Halloween Event.
3 years ago, Johneh asked me to host a Halloween Event. I was so hyped! And thus #SpiritOfHalloween was born.

Anyone saying this #Halloween2018 event was a disaster did not experience that mess.
I was promised a budget of 1000T$. Then as time went on, the budget went lower and lower and lower.
200T$ as a total for prizes. So I came up with the idea to do little events, enter all the winners into a raffle for a large portion of that prize.
Then on the day, do a lil Trick or Treat type thing.
Treat = T$ or a gift
Trick = -T$ or a short ban
All random and just for silliness. It didn't need to be a huge event, but I wanted something that anyone and everyone could take part in.
Most of my ideas got shot down so it was pretty tough to stay motivated.
Then the moderation chaos happened.
Well actually, first Johneh suddenly cancelled the event, but JustMe and BrandonPinzu contacted me to say they wanted to keep the event going. So we were going to head more in the -trick- direction.
Then Tengaged_Moderation got shut down.
Which officially killed the event.
All in all, events are difficult. Especially with this crowd.
I want to congratulate Admin for keeping their cool and actually keeping the event going. We need things like this.
But I would say an Event Coordinator should be separate from the Moderation.
Admin can administrate it, but let someone else manage it, both jobs are too much for one person, Randomize.
Remember the Jubbzy days? There was a T_Mod team and a games coordinator. And that was with a smaller community and less chaos.
Honestly, I was sad I wasn't asked to help with the event, but I understand why. My life is a mess right now.
KrisStory If you believe your decision was fair, stick with it. Tengaged will hate you either way if they don't like a decision but if it's actually fair, then who cares what the public thinks? Move on. Don't blog the same point 3 times unless our input on it makes a difference.
Gagaluv & Jenna2010 It's an online game for online T$ which neither of you are actually playing. It's not worth being mad over. If you feel it wasn't fair, report it to Admin.
The Tengaged Public is not judge-jury-executioner, Admin and Randomize are.
Just blogging this topic over and over is getting no where.
It's a new competition, there are always bumps with the first one.

For people who weren't here, this was almost 3 years ago now. Johneh approached me to ask if I wanted to host a Halloween themed event and I was so hyped!
He said we could offer tricks (bans) and treats (1000T$ was the budget at first). As time went on, the ban option was taken away and the budget became just 200T$.
So I had the plan to host a bunch of events with users winning raffle tickets which would go in a big pot and the winner would win the 200T$.
I tried to make a bad situation work but it all collapsed anyway. 馃檲
I remember even after Johneh cancelled it, BrandonPinzu and JustMe wanted to keep the event going...then they lost their powers...
It was a big mess.
Can we do a #SpiritOfHalloween thing again, Johneh?

I know that #SpiritOfHalloween with the huge array of prizes and events we had planned is no longer with us. But you know what? We still have us - the community! And we can still have some fun!

The Secret Basement is still happening but it's no longer related to Halloween because I sucked at mailing everyone. However the event is still happening and I look forward to donating to charities based on your entries. :)

Obviously with stars last week I wasnt in a position to post what I really thought about certain things or events that have gone on but now I feel I can.
Johneh first of all I dont know why you are punishing people by taking away their raffle tickets and coupons and other things from them. Fair enough you cancelled the #spiritofhalloween events, if you dont have the funding that is understandable. Second of all no matter what decision you make, you are gonna be under pressure because people from one side or another will not agree with it. What you did however banning brandonpinzu was absolutely justified, and im disappointed that you and or/ #justme would overturn that ban. You are basically saying this ok for people in power to cheat, create multis and ban people unfairly or let bans go because they are your friends. I wish you would have stood behind your decision tbh.
brandonpinzu you are absolute garbage. You go of crying about being banned and getting people banned because you don't like them, or create multi accounts because you are in power and can get away with it. You are the definition of corruption and if you had anything to do with what happened to #justme last night, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourself because you don't bring peoples family or children into shit for an online power trip. You are disgusting.
#Justme - im sorry what happened about what happened to you because a bunch of greedy power tripping teenage kids need to cause drama within your life because their friend is crying because he is banned. Its not the first time personal attacks and data have been given out and all users found to have been guilty of this should be permed.

I was #SpiritOfHalloween. And it was fun while it lasted.
I'm sad that all the plans we had for the event are gone but I hope this isn't the end of Tengaged Community Events.
Because I fear it could be. :(

I was kept in the dark about all the chaos happening behind the scenes and I understand. This is a bad time to have an event.
There's lots I want to say but I can't right now. This is just a quick blog to just say the likelihood of a Halloween Event is now very low.
Who knows, maybe we can get a Thanksgiving Turkey account later? XD
But I had a great time and thanks everyone who participated.

You're about to go on an airplane and one of the passengers starts panicking and yelling that the plane is going to explode and everyone needs to get off. Many people leave the plane and you get off too. The plane indeed explodes. You feel lucky to have survived but as the days go by, you hear stories about the other survivors dying in insane freak accidents.
