Mellisa was a castaway for Survivor: Fiji. Hours before filming began, Mellisa suffered a series of panic attacks and it was decided by on-set psychologists that she wasn’t mentally conditioned to play the game. She was part of pre-show interviews and whatnot, but was edited out of the show and cropped out of official photos. Because of how late she dropped out, producers were unable to replace her and the season officially had only 19 castaways. She never competed, she never had a tribe, but she was included on online Survivor: Fiji trivia games on CBS.com. Like a true fame whore, she still managed to hustle her way into magazine spreads and made the most of her experience.
