It's time for week 2's results! As I've mentioned loads, the combined totals from this week and last week have been added up, and the bottom three will leave. Good luck everyone, here are my comments!
Mrkk - I love Eden, and this song is such a bop, an easy top 10 in 2020 for me! You certainly redeemed yourself after failing completely last round- your survival odds look much better!
Absol - A classic, easily one of the most memorable Eurovision songs ever! While Crno I Belo was my winner in 2012, this comes in a close second place! Good pick!
Ilysuiteheart - Oof, I'm sorry, but I hate this song. It didn't deserve to qualify, let alone win. It's one of the most annoying songs on ESC, and Jon Ula San seems obsessed with plastering Netta everywhere
Yawnha - Oof, I'm afraid it's another miss here. I find this song annoying, but for opposite reasons to Israel. I hate his vocal- it's just so high pitched, and if it wasn't for that, this song would be tolerable. This getting 2 points in the televote made my 2018 night
Black_Wave - Yessss! I love the risk taken here- this was not something I was expecting! The risk really paid off- her voice is amazing, and this is one of my 90's highlights
CruelSummer - Waterloo is a complete classic! However, for me, compared to many of the others here, it just isn't as great. I never really understood the hype around it, sorry :(
3pi14159 - I'm conflicted here. I did state that it needed to be a song FROM THE CONTEST, not the movie. Because of that, this song gets a 3 spot penalty: It must move down three spaces from its original ranking
Jameslu - Good move! You know I like this song and this was a smart move on your end. Sweden is the most picked country tonight- and you picked my second favorite Swedish song (Behind Euphoria)
Chris2pei - *Claps slowly*. First Vanessa, now Ulrikke. You really know the key to a girl's heart. This is one of my top 5 favorite ESC songs of all time (And currently the only one in that elite group to have been sent). Just slow clap indeed sir, you are headed for a perfect score!
TurkeyLover - This was always a question mark for me. I fall in and out of love with this song. It's really not something I have in my playlists, but I can't say I hate it. There were better choices out there, though
Chels052_ - This is a solid pick! Heroes was not my 2015 winner, but I'm not unhappy it won- there certainly could have been worse. A bit of a guilty pleasure, though like Netta, the producers love Mans a bit too much

Last week saw #Chris2pei topping my charts, scoring 20 points! However, only 50% of the points have been handed out, and it's time for the second half!
After this week, the three people with the lowest combined total will be heading to Redemption Island- where they will need to fight to stay alive in this game! But let's not dwell on that quite yet!

Introducing this week's theme...EUROVISION!
Eurovision is personally my favourite music competition, and has been since 2007! This show has a 65-year history, starting in 1956, so you're certainly spoiled for choice!
Songs can be of any genre, in any year, of any language! My only ask is that it's a song that actually made it onto the show- I don't want any National Final songs, but other than that, you're free. Lives and Music Videos are being accepted!
Good luck, and don't end up as one of the three going to Redemption...otherwise your weave has one hell of a journey to make it back in!

Music Taste: Week 1 Results

It's time to reveal the results for week 1 of music taste! Nobody will be eliminated this week, but the points you gain will carry over to next week. 12 of you submitted, thank you for that! I'll post comments in the order you posted your songs!
3pi14159 - Honestly, this wasn't bad! It did suffer from a bit of "Average" pop, but for average pop, this was solid, and didn't give me a headache...unlike some songs later on :)
Yawnha - To be completely honest with you- I did find this a bit dull, but it wasn't terrible! I could tolerate it, even if it did feel like it went on FOREVER
Salmaan - BOP! This was honestly so catchy, and personally my third favourite Rihanna song. You hit it out of the park this week, good job!
Ilysuiteheart - Honestly, there were parts of this I liked, but also parts that gave me a crushing headache. This genre of pop does have a tendency to give me headaches. Luckily, I have heard this song before, so it gets off the hook as it's a headache I'm used to
Absol - Girl, this just wasn't it. I was bored stiff. I appreciate the risk, but this just sounds like a million others and doesn't bring anything special. It's something I'd listen to trying to get to sleep
Chels052_ - This was an interesting pick. I did likesome elements to it, but others I quite strongly disliked
Jameslu - This is a really "Average" song for me. There's nothing about it that stands out majorly for me, but at the same time it wasn't horrible- I'm headache-free!
CruelSummer - I'm sorry, but I also found this to just exist. It's floating in limbo for me. It didn't bring anything special, and while I adore Kacey Musgraves, this just felt lifeless for me
Black_Wave - NO, NO NO. This really just wasn't it. This is what I call Nightmare Pop because whenever I hear it, I wish I was deaf
Chris2pei - YOU DIDN'T! YOU SENT VANESSA QUAI, HOW COULD YOU! GODDAMMIT CHRIS, NOW THIS WEEK IS SEALED :/
MatchMaker - BOP! My 4th favourite Rihanna song! In fact, this was my first Rihanna song, and I still adore it. Good pick <3
TurkeyLover - Well...this was different! And that's something I appreciate. Lots of these songs were quite safe, meanwhile, this wasn't, and while I have heard better, this was honestly a really good pick this week!

Human's Music Taste - Round 4 RESULTS

Yaayy sorry for the wait guys, but this round was so funnn! I hope everyone else had fun searching for some serious ACAMAZING PERFORMANCES.
Now on to the top 3 this round:
Dylangover1 : OMG! When he started dancing I started tooooo and rewrite the stars was included (FYI JAMES ARTHUR WAS INCLUDED INTO IT) You really surprised me this round, I hope you keep on bringing it. Cool and fun performance, he’s not the strongest vocalist but I was looking for energy and all by himself he did that!
ChrisParker13 : OHHH NO YOU DIDN’T! WE GOT 3 PENTATONIX PERFORMANCES … and I wasn’t even shocked tbh they are the kings and queens of groundbreaking acapella. I had to compare them unfortunately and this one is the one that stood out. When #chris2pei posted that song on the 1st season of James (tswift’s group game) I just fell in love with them so much.
SeaViper : The other Pentatonix song that stood out!!! Love this song because It is so soothing and the buildup is so sick and insane. You really came back after lost round!!!

Yayy! You guys survived the first round ofc you’re still here duh! Unfortunately ilysuiteheart was eliminated last round for not posting but the show must go on with the 14 of you!! Congratulations to #chris2pei for nailing the last round, you have been graced with immunity for the week but consistency is the key!
I had another plan for this theme this round, but I couldn’t hold it in and I had to change it into this because I absolutely LOVE HIM!
You might have guessed it or not … but it’s James Arthur’s round now!!! He is so underrated, literally every song of his is a masterpiece and so unreal. You can post any songs of his (originally made by him), I won’t post one so there’s a lot of choices. He’s great but I feel like everyone resonates more with songs written or sang by themselves.
However, there is a song the media overplayed so much that if I hear it one more time I’m gonna break something. I don’t wanna spoil it completely but hopefully nobody posts it. *fingers crossed*
