I get it. Most things that involve people playing online in some sort of multiplayer system, people are going to cheat. Do I feel like cheaters should get what's coming to them by getting banned? I feel it's fair enough.
But the fact that 1-2 people did challenges for....5-7 other people...it seems weird that it was caught just now. These are people who have merged countless times. Considering that each "game" is roughly 1 week, it just seems a bit off that it was JUST NOW caught on to.
Do I have an idea who may have helped the others in the challenges? Yes. But I don't think every single person on that tribe cheated to get to where they are now. Some of those people probably were playing the game without any of that cheating and whatever, and now they're being banned just because the people around them, the people that he/she was practically FORCED to work with, have resulted in them all getting banned.
If Tengaged_Moderation did a background check on every single one of them and found that they had all logged on through another account at some point, then that's one thing. But based on my previous experience with Ten_Mod, I don't think that's the case.
I remember back in 2012-2013, I had been banned for having been assumed to be a multi of #BaseBall12. This was nearly a PERMANENT BAN, and if I hadn't sent many e-mails to moderation, I may not be here today. The point being, there was no background check of the fact that I could've or couldn't have been a multi of #BaseBall12.
I feel that the tribe that got banned met a similar fate. Should some of them stay banned? Yes. There's probably a maximum of four or five people on that tribe who should be banned right now. But those extra people are now facing a punishment for something they may have taken no part it.
These are just my thoughts honestly. Could I be completely wrong here? Sure. But part of me thinks the whole situation seems way to sketchy and unjust for some people on that tribe.
