Lets start with The Blue Tribe (Saanapu).
- The winner is coming from this tribe. I mean they have the first alliance of the season and Bianca had a "I'm a strategist confessional". They probably are the most competent tribe of the lot of them as well. The Conner and Flick alliance looks promising with maybe Matt and Sam joining in as well. Conner burning his hand is a rookie error though (idiot superfan).
Next is the Yellow Tribe (Vavau aka the fun tribe)
- Right out of the gate, no one knows anything about survival skills so Nick tries and fails to make fire so instead they say fuck it and go have a swim in the ocean. They eventually get it together and make a shelter. Craig is a flaming homosexual, Andrew is the douchebag strategist, Sue is the grandma of the tribe and everyone just laughs and has fun.
Lastly, we have the Red Tribe (Aganoa aka the drama tribe)
- Des a 60 year old, obese, sexist man comes in with the strategy of not doing anything in terms of labour. He sucks the airtime from all living beings and only starts to use his handy survival skills like a day too late when his ass is on the chopping block. Thank god he went first, because he is an iconic first boot. Lee and Rohan are the bros of the tribe. Phoebe, Kat and El are the girls of the group and Kristie and Evan are the oddballs of the group. Thanks Evan for pointing that out.
They will be going to tribal a lot because they seem to suck at survivor the most.
Jonathan LaPaglia is a solid host but he ain't no Jeff Probst but I'll give him time to warm up into the role. It has the classic survivor look but a lot more focus is on the people and surviving the elements and not the strategy.
