I'm not sure why so many Amazing Race fans are having meltdowns over the super alliance in Season 32 making the final three when the same exact thing happened in Season 1. In Season 1, Rob/Brennan, Frank/Margarita, and Joe/Bill had an alliance early on and though it eventually fell apart, all three teams eventually made the finals.
Likewise, in Season 32, Will/James, Riley/Maddison, and Hung/Chee made an alliance early on that helped them eventually make the finals. Their alliance was much stronger than the super alliance in Season 1, but there's no doubt that it definitely existed.
There have also been other super alliances in subsequent seasons that resulted in packs of friends making the finals of each season. Maybe some of the complainers aren't old enough to remember that, but I certainly am and I would encourage fellow superfans of The Amazing Race to do a little remedial homework before they start howling about things being unfair and unprecedented. The superalliance concept has been happening since The Amazing Race was born in 2001 and either people forgot that or they're not old enough to know that. Either way, the complaints about Season 32's superalliance are ridiculous.

I got to sit in on 'A Conversation With Jon Montgomery' hosted by the Canadian Olympic Foundation this morning and I was THE FIRST selected to ask Jon a question! I asked him, "Do you hope that The Amazing Race Canada will come back once the pandemic is over? What are some takeaways you've gotten from serving as the show's host?"
Jon started out by talking about how it is important to repeatedly apply for the show and openly encouraged me to keep applying! We talked about the race itself and he mentioned how he was priveleged to witness the personal growth of contestant Martina Seo and how she developed a sense of how she could do so much more than she originally believed. In his words, she "blossomed." Jon said that that type of experience is something everyone should have in their lives and emphasized that I should keep applying.
It was then that I admitted my former Race partner, Martha Campbell Nickle, wasn't able to apply with me anymore, that I didn't currently have a partner to apply with, and that I was certainly open to applying solo and being paired with anyone. Jon made a joke about how I was open to a blind date pairing and the moderator, Cindy Yelle, also joked about how I was inviting her to apply with me.
I stated that I was always open to make new friends. Jon expressed hope that the Race would be back once the pandemic ended, stated that the pandemic would end, and that CTV would call him back to serve as host. He also said that he would try to get CTV to look into allowing for solo applicants so I could apply as a solo racer. I ended my comments by thanking Jon for all that he brought to The Amazing Race Canada. Jon's final comment to me was, "I hope to see you at the starting line!" That just absolutely made my day and I hope there comes a time where I can see him there. Being on The Amazing Race is an ongoing dream and even if I have to apply solo and run with a stranger, it's a dream I hope to someday turn into a reality.

THOUGHTS:
- I actually really enjoyed this episode. I loved seeing the teams relaxing and strategizing.
- Not sure who I side with in the Reilly vs Nicole/Victor drama. Both were annoying
- I will say this, it's annoying how for a second time Rachel and Elissa hogged the spotlight from a teams elimination (granted Nicole and Victor weren't eliminated)
- Ugh I miss Janelle and Britney

Why did they show Eliza & Corinnes post-elimination reactions/trash talks???? Surely many teams in the last have done the same once off camera yet they aired those 2 saying it? Are they on bad terms with CBS? Just seemed very odd that they'd out their feelings like that
