A map will start off with a basic description, followed by the types of Pokemon one might find in the daytime vs the nighttime, and all of the "travelable" areas surrounding said area. There will be a "time" set up, which will tell you how long you must spend in said area. You can bypass this time by linking up with someone who was there before you, and thus having the option to LEAVE said area on THEIR go instead of your own. A basic example will be provided below, which will actually be used when you first start, so pay attention.

{ ============================================================= }

Pallet Town: (10 Minutes)
A small town covered by farmland, with many small one-to-two story houses spread across the area. Professor Oak's laboratory rests on a grassy hill, overlooking most of the town. The hilly countryside makes traveling it tiresome, but the paved road leads to route 1 in the forest nearby. There are no Pokemon Centers or Shops in this area, so staying here is not really an option if you don't live in the town.

Pokemon:
The town is empty of Pokemon besides Pidgey and Spearow landing every once in a while. The Farmlands nearby host a small variety of easy-to-find Pokemon like Rattata, Sentret, and maybe a Diglett or two. The forest surrounding the town is much too far away to reach from the road unless you follow the trail to route 1.
At nighttime, other Pokemon such as Misdreavous, Hoothoot, Poochyena, and Houndour can be found roaming about.

Route 1: (1 Hour)
The Route just outside of Pallet Town which connects it to Viridian City. The road winds through the woods with many curves, but it remains one solid pathway and so is very easy to follow.

Pokemon:
On the pathway, Trainers can expect to see Rattata, Pidgey, Spearow, Ekans, Sentret, Wurmple, Weedle, Caterpie, and perhaps even some other Pokemon if the occasion is granted.

Deeper in the woods, Trainers can find the stream which draws the Pokemon to the location. It is here that they will find Grass and Water type Pokemon, as well as other RARER Pokemon such as Stantler, Teddiursa, some special Bug-type Pokemon such as Yanma and Venonat, and some Pokemon not native to the first three regions if one is lucky enough.

Viridian City: (10 Minutes)
The City is small, the buildings squeezed tightly together and rising high above the trees. The residential areas surrounding the city are cramped, but pretty nonetheless. The Pokemon Center is where one can register to participate in the Indigo League or the Grand Festival, should they ask Nurse Joy. There are beds and food available for Trainers as well. The PokeMart is set up close by, and features many items one might need on a journey. The first Gym you can face is here as well, offering Trainers the beginning experience they might need.

Pokemon:
Though the city is cramped, there are many Pokemon hidden away in the alleys around the place. This includes electric types, psychic types, dark types, and normal types more often than not. Common Pokemon sighted include Meowth, Rattata, Elektrike, and Voltorb. There are sometimes Poison types found as well, but this rarely happens.

Route 22: (UNUSABLE)
Route 22 is the road to the Indigo Plateau, and thus you can only go so far. The Route is characterized by giant rocky spires, a large lake, trees, and tall grass, making it a Poke Paradise. However, many strong trainers can be met here, so it is ill-advised of new trainers to try and go there.

Pokemon:
There are a wide variety of Pokemon, depending on where you go, but most of them are not very rare as experienced trainers grab anything powerful they can find. There are Machop, Geodude, Rattata, Spearow, Poliwag, Psyduck, Rhyhorn, and a few other types of Pokemon to be found here.

Route 2: (20 Minutes)
Route 2 is a small road leading towards the Viridian Forest. The Path is covered in mostly bug-type and normal-type pokemon, without much variety. Though a great place to train, you can't get through the thick-walled forest and go after rarer Pokemon.

Pokemon:
Weedle, Caterpie, Wurmple, Pidgey, Spearow, Starly, and a few other random Pokemon are all you will find here. There's not much in the way of Variety OR strength. No Trainers are usually around this Route, so it should be a straight shot to the Viridian Forest.

Route 3: (5 Minutes)
Route 3 is a short, simple, easy Route to Pewter City, connecting it through Viridian Forest. There is a cave nearby called Diglett Cave which leads to Vermillion City, but it is blocked off at the moment thanks to some issues with cave-ins.

Pokemon:
Nidoran (Both Gender), Geodude, Pidgey, Mankey, Diglett, Rhyhorn, Houndour, Poocheyena, Zigzagoon, Sentret, Oddish, Sandshrew, Rattata, and many more Pokemon abound in this area.

Pewter City: (10 Minutes)
Pewter City is home to a Pokemon Center, Gym, Pokemart, and a wide variety of shops and business offices, but nothing really that appeals to trainers. The Forests and Hills outside of town boast many Pokemon that are not common to the region, thanks to Mt Moon being so close by.

Pokemon:
This is one of the only places in the region where one might find Dragon type Pokemon like Deino, Bagon, and Trapinch. It also boasts many insects such as Durant, Pineco, Venonat, and other random Pokemon such as Heatmor, Graveler, Onix, Steelix, Skarmory, and more. The Pokemon, however, are very strong, and trying to capture them could lead to disaster for an inexperienced Trainer.

Route 4: (20 Minutes)
A long path through the mountains, Route 4 connects Pewter City with Mt Moon, and it is covered in Pokemon Trainers all itching to battle.

Pokemon:
There are many random Pokemon around, but most are weaker and common Pokemon like Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Geodude, Rattata, Machop, and Pidgey.
