===== Fairies =====

Fairies are mostly female, though a few males have been noted throughout the series. Fairies generally have special forms they go into to release their combat magic, however can cast small spells while in their Civilian form.

Fairies earn transformations through selfless acts which bring out the best in them. Fairies who receive two such transformations are dubbed worthy of graduating from Alfea College, meaning the transformations are key to a Fairy's strength.

Fairies have a key "focus" much like Witches and Wizards. This is evident in some of their powers such as Techna (Fairy of Technology)'s focus on Technological spells which make her seem more like a robot than a Fairy. This is in stark contrast to Musa (Fairy of Music)'s focus on Musical and Hearing Spells.

All fairies, regardless of their focus, have the ability to cast spells of summoning, transformations, healing, and more, as long as they align with the Light side of Magic. Basically anything a fairy can think of, she can do through magic. This can be done through spells, incantations, chants, and more. Fairy spells generally give off yellow sparkles, making their natural draw towards Light Magic evident.

===== Witches =====

Witches are completely made up of Females, and are made up of not only Witches but Fairies as well. Fairies and Witches, while two different groups, are interchangeable as they are creatures of magic. Thus, some fairies leave Alfea to practice Dark Magic at Cloud Tower, while some Witches do the exact opposite in order to practice Light Magic, earning their wings in the process.

Witches become more powerful through practice, though some have powerful bloodlines that course through their veins. They do not need Transformations like the Fairies do, however it has been proven that having such abilities increases a witches strength to an incredible degree. Witch transformations are always CREATED rather than naturally occurring.

Witches, like Fairies, have a key focus, being called a Witch of some kind of specialty. This is seen in the Trio of Witches known as the Trix as it contained the Witch of Ice, Witch of Darkness, and Witch of Storms.

Witches lean more towards the Dark Side of Magic, which relies heavily on chants and incantations, along with Illusions, Trickery, and a great deal of Combat-related Magics. Witches are more prone to learn Kinesis abilities as well, such as Electrokinesis, Hydrokinesis, Pyrokinesis, Telekinesis, and more. Most Witches have one or more such powers if they are of a certain strength.

Most Witches can do just about whatever they wish with spells, but lean more towards hurting others, making their Dark Magic more powerful and giving them enhanced abilities the more they use them. Witches' Spells release dark auras when cast, showing their Dark Pull of Magic.

===== Specialists =====

Specialists are akin to Knights in the sense of the word. Specialists can be either Warriors or Wizards, and all of them are Males. Specialists are equipped with unique magical weapons which take on a certain shape when wielded, normally staying powered-off until needed, at which time the magical element to the weapon summons its true power. Such weapons include everything from a wrist-piece that turns into a magical shield of light, to an empty grip that summons a sword of light, flails, crossbows, basically any sort of gear someone could think of can immediately be summoned up by a Specialist if he has the right gear.

Specialists all wear a similar uniform if they attend some kind of School. Wizards of certain schools keep this tradition, despite not being Specialists in full. All Specialists have access to high-tech transportation including hoverbikes and other flying vehicles with all manner of magical technology.

Specialists are trained to ride Dragons, with varying success. The Dragons of Red Fountain are a special breed which bond with the Specialists, however remain loyal to the school no matter what.

===== Wizards =====

Wizards can be either Dark or Light Magic Users, and are akin to Fairies and Witches in that they can cast Spells of many kinds, and also have some Kinesis abilities. Wizards can attend Red Fountain or a wide variety of other schools throughout the Magix Dimension.

Wizards generally use their own abilities more than their spells, however can use either or both should the situation arise. Wizards of Light generally use a Staff of some sort, while Wizards of Darkness reject this practice for reasons unknown.

Wizards are ALWAYS Male, and all are capable of using Mind Magic. While Witches can use Illusions, which are technically a form of Mind Magic, Wizards have access to a wide variety of other powers which could cause them to be labelled as Psychics should they be powerful enough including Telepathy, Telekinesis, and more.
