Perdido Beach Community School - Cafeteria
*It is three days after the events of episode 1. People have moved from sleeping in the Gym to all over the school now. Hayley and Denee are fighting in the Cafeteria*
Denee: We need to do something. The cafeteria isn’t stocked enough to keep feeding all these people.
*Hayley rolls her eyes as Denee starts looking through cabinets counting inventory*
Denee: We have maybe a weeks worth of food here. More if we ration.
Hayley: We don’t NEED to do anything but keeping people safe.
Denee: By building an armed police force of High School Freshmen?
Hayley: Someone needs to keep these kids safe and calm.
Denee: How are you going to do that when you give random kids guns? You’re going to scare everyone and we’re going to lose control. I want to go scout the border wall still, we never did that.
*Denee pulls out cans of beans*
Hayley: Whatever, you do your thing. I’ll do mine. See who gets the most support.
*She looks at the beans*
Hayley: I’m not eating that garbage.

Perdido Beach Outskirts
*Reo is out for a run just outside of town. He’s timing himself as he runs down the highway. He’s not winded yet.*
*He stops, distracted by something on the ground when a flash of light enters his vision. Like the sunlight reflected into his eye by something. He looks up in the direction of the light, seeing nothing out of the ordinary at Coates Academy up the hill.*
Reo: Weird.
*He starts to head back to Perdido Beach.*

Outside Perdido Beach Community School - Terren’s car
*Shay and Terren are by his car talking*
Terren: I left about a month ago, I guess.
Shay: Yeah? You were staying up in the hills, right?
Terren: Yeah, that’s where I found the rabbit.
Shay: Anything else out of the ordinary?
Terren: A coyote.
*Shay laughs*
Shay: There’s nothing weird about coyotes in the middle of the desert.
Terren: There was something off about this one. I don’t know. Bigger, maybe.
