Setting: Perdido Beach and Surrounding areas

Perdido Beach
A small coastal town in Southern California. Whereas other towns like it have boomed in recent decades, Perdido Beach has stayed small. Perhaps this is aided by it’s reputation as “Fallout Alley” after a freak accident at the town’s nuclear power plant. The only way in or out of Perdido Beach is Highway 1 as it is blocked by mountains on one side and the pacific ocean on the other.

Perdido Beach Community School
An all ages school educating the youth of Perdido Beach from Kindergarten to Graduation. It’s the only public school serving the area within an hours drive.

Barbara’s Daycare
Exactly what it says on the tin. A small daycare operating just across from the Town Plaza in the center of town.

Ralphs
The only supermarket. Located in the western end of town along Highway 1.

Town Hall

Church

McDonalds
A food establishment just across from Barbara’s Day Care and the Town Plaza in the centre of the town.

Coates Academy
A private boarding school for troubled youth who have been sent here to deal with behavioral issues or other problems their parents don’t know how to deal with. Coates Academy is up the hill from Perdido Beach.

Clifftop Hotel
A luxury resort just outside of Perdido Beach with all the amenities including a golf course, tennis court, and a pool.

Perdido Beach Nuclear Power Plant
PBNP serves the greater Perdido Beach area from the farmlands in the northwest to Perdido Beach and Coates Academy to the south. 18 years ago the plant was the location of a meteor strike destroying one of the cooling towers and the reactor inside instantly. Miraculously the strike was a perfect hit on the uranium within the reactor, trapping it hundreds of meters below ground and preventing a larger tragedy. There was only one casualty in the incident but the victim’s body was ever recovered. The resulting fallout was quickly cleaned up but the damage it did to the areas surrounding the plant’s reputation was enough to scare away potential newcomers and has halted growth.

To the north west of Perdido Beach are Bitterweed Valley and the Santa Katrina Hills before transitioning into the Stefano Rey National Park that connects to Lake Tramonto in the north east and the Pacific in the South West. The Evanston Air National Guard Base lies just below the Santa Katrina Hills.

Power Level: Power level is commonly referred to in the form of “bars” like on a cellphone. 1 bar being weak powers to 4 bars being incredibly powerful though this level is incredibly rare.
The FAYZ: Fallout Alley Youth Zone. The area within the dome.
Littles: The small children of Perdido Beach.
