Nin: "Well, hello models! And welcome to the final eight of the competition! This is a huge stepping stone because you all have made it to the halfway mark! Isn't that just incredible? Well, guess what! This is the LAST challenge before I take the top models remaining to the overseas location! Where would you be going, you ask? Why, of course! You'd be going..."

Nin: "...to beautiful HONG KONG! That's right, survive this week, and you'll be entering the final traction of the competition for REAL!"

Nin: "So what final challenge here in Canada will test you and prove you deserve to make it overseas?  How about your second team challenge of the cycle? Yes, that ought to do it!"

Nin: "Eric and Quin, as the winners of last week's challenge, you are both team captains and are tasked with besting each other this time around! Eric was selected to choose the teams while Quin was selected to choose the themes that you would be participating in!"

Nin: "This week, you all will be taking on one of the biggest debates in fashion history; caked face or natural beauty! For centuries, people have fought over if the beauty of makeup enhances one's potential or if an untouched and natural beauty is the most powerful. This week, you'll be taking that subject on yourselves!"

Nin: "The teams are as follows: "

#TeamNaturalBeauty: Eric, Samantha, Sarah, Mrs. A

Nin: "If you represent #TeamCakedFace, your goal is to show that through heavy makeup and even if your look is extremely altered and unnatural, you can still deliver a high fashion and gorgeous look that speaks to all viewers. If you represent #TeamNaturalBeauty, your focus should be on showing extreme glamour with minimalist editing from one's natural state; being high fashion just as one is!"

Nin: "The judges are really looking for who pays attention and gives detail in their photo. You're in direct competition with four other fierce models; it's up to you to represent what you stand for and to bring fire and passion that can catch our attention! It's getting down to the wire and I know none of you want to miss out on the trip to Hong Kong; the trip of a lifetime! So be fierce. Be unique. And most importantly; BE. A. BOSS!!!!!!!!"

(You have two days to complete this assignment. It is officially due by 7 PM PST/10 PM EST on January 10th! As a reminder, one team will be COMPLETELY immune while two models from the losing team will be up for elimination! Best of luck!)

For this week Quin chose to do a caked face because she knows all about the struggles of natural beauty. Through this cake face Quin shows a mysterious side to her. Quin’s angel like presence is breathtaking. I hope you judges enjoy.

Explanation: for me this is by far the hardest photoshoot in the competition for me as it’s not always easy to showcase a model who has little to no editing and has no makeup. But for me sometimes little is more. Despite all those odds against me I wanna showcase a model who is  not only fierce with no makeup but her natural beauty shines through with this photo.
