Good evening! Welcome to Lithuanian National Selection for ESCT 35. We've just listened to the most succesful artist that ever represented Lithuania in ESCT ever, GJan, with her winner song from the 15th edition, 'One More Drink' and last edition's Second Chance Lithuanian entry 'Numbers'.
Today we have 4 entries that will battle for a spot in the ESCT 35th edition. I will explain the rules and then we'll get to it.
The entry order of the 4 songs was decided by a draw. After all the contestants have performed, we will get to the votes. A set of 7 votes will be deciding our winner. Two of them will consists of internal jurors, one of them being the host delegation. The other 5 will consists of other head delegations that are participating in the ESCT. Everybody will have the chance to vote, until a number of 5 jurors will be reached, then the vote will close. Every set of votes will value the same and will be calculated with the following formula:
4th place: 1 point
3rd place: 6 points
2nd place: 8 points
1st place: 12 points
After the vote is closed, the number of points will be accumulated and the song with the most points will go to Rotterdam. In case of equality, the song with the most maximum amount of points will have the advantage (most 12's, if equal most 8's and so on). The vote is open until Saturday, 16th of November. Before we get to the results, we've invited someone special for a quick performance. It is someone that was considered to participate in the contest, however she didn't get the approval considering that her Lithuanian descent is to small to be taken into account. It's a music legend, also a former winner of ESCT. Let's hear Pink!
And now, the moment we were waiting for. In some minutes we will find which artist and which song will represent Lithuania in ESCT 35. Seven votes were taken into account, in chronological order, everything that came in later doesn't count and will not be published.
