Good evening, Europe! Welcome to the Estonian National Final for ESCT 30
"Uhke Olla Eesti Keel"

The title of our selection contest translates to "Proud to be Estonian" and it is fitting that all of our potential entrants are singing in our native language of Estonian.

In contrast to previous years we have seven entrants competing to represent Estonia in the ESCT contest. This is because the national delegation could not decide on just six entrants.

We invite all of our brothers, sisters and cousins from all over Europe to help us select our entry. Please can you listen to all of the songs before rating them using the following points system:

1st - 12 points
2nd - 10 points
3rd - 8 points
4th - 6 points
5th - 4 points
6th - 2 points
7th - 0 points

1. Jana Kask - Ood - nr. 6

Jana Kask was the winner of Eesti otsib superstaari 2008, the second season of the Estonian version of Pop Idol. For now she holds the record as being the youngest winner of the Idol series worldwide at the time of her triumph. She enters this contest with her song 'Ood - nr 6'. If she wins this will be the first time she has represented Estonian in ESCT.

2. Liis Lemsalu - EL PEATU

Liis rose to fame as the winner of the fourth season of Eesti otsib superstaari, the Estonian version of Idol series. She is one of the most popular artists in Estonia and her most streamed song on Youtube (Sinu Ees) has over 2.1 million views which is double the amount of people who live in Estonia. She has previously represented Estonian in ESCT with her song 'Breaking the rules' which unfortunately missed out on the grand final by 1 point. She is hoping to have more luck with her song 'EL PEATU'

3. Mick Pedaja - Valgeks (To The Light)

Mick is a musician and composer. He plays the guitar and loves to produce music with an ambient and new age feel. This is Mick's first time trying to represent Estonia in ESCT and he helps he will win the right with his song 'Valgeks'.

4. Etnopatsy - Kulm

Etnopatsy is a band that focuses on creating 'beautiful Estonian music'. Ethnopatsy is made up of two singers (Elis Loik & Aile Alveus-Krautmann) and one electronic musician (Andres Nirk). Etnopatsy have not represented Estonia in ESCT and they are hoping they can be lucky with their song Kulm.

5. Nika feat. Vlad Gorban

Nika is perhaps more famous in Ukraine than Estonia, having placed in the top 20 female singers in the Ukrainian X Factor. She also won the competition 'The Voice of the Baltic'. This is the first time she has tried to represent Estonia in ESCT. She is joined on stage by the Estonian music producer Vlad Gorban. They hope to win this contest with their song Sinu Ees.

6. Grete Paia - Puuame Droone

Grete Paia is our youngest contestant. She has previously tried to represent Estonian in ESCT with her song "Warm Nights" but was unsuccessful that time. She is hoping to be more successful with her song Puuame Droone.

7. Sinine - Sel Teel ft Sandra Nurmsalu

Our final song is presented by Sinine and Sandra Nurmsalu. Sinine in Estonian translate as 'blue'. Sinine is a music producer and singer that specialises in fast paced pop songs. Sandra Nurmsalu is an Estonian singer, violinist and lead singer of the band Urban Symphony. They are both hoping their song Sel Teel will lead them to success in this contest. They have also produced an acoustic version of the song which you can find below.
