Opening Act:

Anna Netrebko & Yusif Eyvazov - 'Cantami'

Welcome to another edition of 'Wer singt für Österreich?'! This time, totally different... It is all about German language, so for the first time after ESCT 26, an entry interpreted in German will represent Austria in ESCT. For the first time in the history of 'Wer singt für Österreich?', the contest will be split in new 2 phases: 2 semi-finals and a final. We are almost ready to begin with the first semi-final (both semi-finals will have the same rules), so I'll quickly explain the rules then we can get started. Ten songs were chosen to participate in the Austrian national selection, they were split into 2 semi-finlas by a draw.

So tonight we'll have 5 songs. The result will be composed by the classic international jurors and by an internal juror by the following format: between 5 and 10 international jurors (head delegations from other countries participating in ESCT) will give points to their 3 best options to reach the final; they will just have to send me the name of the 3 songs they want to see in the final, all 3 songs chosen by a person will receive 1 point. There will be no table or comparison between the 3 songs, I just need to know the 3 acts they are trying to get through for the final. After all the votes are casted, the first 2 songs from each semi-final will be qualified into the final. After that, the internal juror comes into play. Without knowing the final table of the international jury, just knowing the 2 qualified songs, he will have the duty to save one of the 3 remaining acts and decide which one will follow the already qualified songs into the final. In the end 3 songs from each semi-final will qualify to the final. In case of equality between 2nd and 3rd place, the internal juror will be forced to choose one of those 2 and another one from the 3 remaining. In case of equality between first 3 songs, the internal juror will be forced to choose 2 from those 3 songs and another one from the 3 remaining.

Every head delegation is invited to vote, a maximum number of 10 will be accepted in the order they are sending their votes. If there will not be a minimum number of 5 votes (which normally shouldn't happen), the internal juror will decide all the 3 qualifiers. The vote is open until next Thursday, 15th March or until 10 votes are received. Remember, you just need to send me your 3 options to advance. With that being said, let the show begin:

1. Gnackwatschn - 'He Muhla'

2. Pizerra & Jaus - 'Unerhört solide'

3. Folkshilfe - 'Mir Laungts'

4. 5/8erl in Her’n - 'Cheesy Kern'
