Episode 1, Part 1
Hi everyone! I’m LaOddity, otherwise known as Ruby Velvet. Sometimes known as ‘the alternative girl’, but I prefer my true identity; a cross species, intergalactic, cosmic whore. But make it fashion.
Welcome to the TENTH season of Bootleg Opinions! It was quite some time since I had my coronation, so what a better way to celebrate that than by reading each and every one of Talians new queens. (And king!)
*Puts on glasses*
Oh these? These are just for the fashion. Don’t mind me.
Let’s get to it! Category is… Budget cuts?
No, that’s not it… Category is, Blue/Green!
First up, Anita Nap! I like the variation of color in the hair, as well as the detail of what looks like a finn, for me it is that subtle detail that really helps bring your concept together. I think there is movement to the piece, with the use of color, but the yellow distracts me, and I’d like to challenge her to elevate her ideas further. For me it’s a BOOT today.
Next.. Tamar Indo! Oh, yes. This is fabulous. I see Miss Tamar is a lady who both knows a thing or two about fashion, but also a lady who knows how to use it. This is so dramatic, and stands out a mile from the rest. I have seen the outfit a handful of times, but you’ve done it in a way that is both new and refreshing with the addition of the construction you’ve done in the bottom. This is an absolute TOOT.
Next up… Minty Munroe! I love this. It just screams high drag to me. It’s so dramatic, and every detail has been paid attention too. Yet, you did not feel the need to stick a bunch of things on it either, which is something even I struggle to do. This surprised me when I opened it up and I must say I am very excited to see what is next. This is a TOOT.
Next up… Mer-C! I like this look, it is very unique and she absolutely stands out in a sea of IMVU and editing girls. My favorite parts are the long and striped leggings, and the details of the top, which brings this androgynous feel with the mask on the face. However, I would like to encourage her to bring that level of detail to the rest of the page. For example, in the face and makeup. You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing, infact I encourage you not too, but I’d love to see her explore ideas of how she can elevate her work. This is a TOOT.
Next up… Miso Young! Wow. This is easily the most polished, and detailed of any of the runways I’ve seen so far. I love the hair, and the transparency to the material. The shoes are to die for. I think all I can offer for advice is if you bring this level of detail to fashionable concepts, you could be a real force to be reckoned with. Don’t be afraid to take risks. This is absolutely a TOOT.
Next up… Jakob Scene! Oh yes. Yes please. I love this, because it is so different from the others. What I like most however, is all of the clashing textures that should not work together, but absolutely somehow do. I’ll admit the camo doesn’t do much for me, but I love the coat and the hair, and I think the choice of the white straps along not only the chest which is more traditional, but also the legs, matched with those white boots, takes this to a really fashionable, and bizarre place. TOOT.
Next up… Justine Time! This is easily my favorite makeup of the night, at least for this category. It shines, it is very stunning. I imagine it quite literally glowing in the spotlight. Your use of the colors is lovely, but simple. I don’t know if the outfit is doing much for me, but overall, this is really nice. It’s a TOOT.
Next up… Talianna the Housewife! I like this a lot. I think it is perhaps the most modernly fashionable of any of the runways. I love the hair, the glasses, the top and the ruffled bottom. To offer advice, don’t be afraid to take out some of the parts that don’t match the lighting of the rest, once you get used to that, you can begin building your own shapes and silhouettes, too. 100% a TOOT.
Next up… Hostess ElChurch! This is very different, it is very unexpected, and perhaps the most conceptual of anything I’ve seen so far. It reads to me as a fashionable take on Medusa with the twisting hair, and greyed model, looking like stone. I would encourage her to explore perhaps use of makeup, or things like crystals, to take that idea of stone, to a more fashionable, glamourous place. This is a TOOT.
Next up… Blake the Drag Queen! I love this hair and makeup. It’s very pretty, and there is a movement too it with the blue boa. It reads as the glow up we want to see on Season 10. However, the outfit itself is not doing a lot for me. I like the vintage feel of it, but I want to push her to take her ideas further. For me it’s a BOOT today.
Next up… Aasha! I like this look, I love the coat and its vibrancy, in fact it even inspired me when doing my own work. It reads very fashionable, and I can clearly see she has a sense of style and fashion. So I’d love to see her really come out in some shocking looks. Take it to the next level. I’m definitely excited to see what she does on the runway this season. It’s a TOOT.
Next up… Scheherazade! While I must admit that this isn’t my favorite concept, I absolutely love the details of the boned crown and staff. It’s such a bizarre and outlandish choice, yet it’s fun, and fashionable. I’d have loved for her to really go all in on that concept, because I see a very pretty model, with the pastel hair, and the glistening mermaid tail, then a really wicked, bold and fashionable sense of accessorizing. I think she wants to be couture and high fashion, don’t be afraid to let that burst out. It’s a soft TOOT.
Next up… Cherry Pop! She really didn’t come to play with this runway and I am here for it. Business woman realness, she came to fire some messy bottoms, collect her paycheck, and bounce. I appreciate that this is fashionable and a modern approach to this challenge. It’s very chic. One thing I am noticing, is that her models head is slightly large for what it should be, and it would really bring the fantasy together if the head connects with the outfit more. It’s a TOOT.
Next up… Quak’n! I love the tattoos. Ten seasons and I do not think I have ever seen another queen throw on some tattoos. Hot. This look is very simple, but it’s nice. I’m not mad at a vintage take, but I think she could have pushed this a little further. It’s a BOOT today.
Next up… Graceyonce Thee Unicorn! I love your drag name, so much, and I appreciate this look. I think it was inspired by Courtney Acts runway on Season 6, and that concept translated to me immediately. I do think the outfit could have been taken further, the devil is in the details; but I like that I immediately opened this up and got the idea, that is a good thing. I think if she focuses on the details, she could be a real force to be reckoned with. Today it’s a BOOT though.
Top Toot of the week is…….

Minty Monroe! That runway really is squeaky clean. Keep it up.
