**DAR & MICHAEL**

This award had so many strong contenders. Callia/Tyler were the dynamic duo of the season and had a major impact but we decided to give this award to Dar and Michael.

Michael (RobbyJak) came back to Tengaged group games after a three year hiatus and he was a huge character. He sent lengthy video confessionals with such detail to where production knew every aspect of his game and we loved watching him. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to get his footing in the game but he was someone who played a major role and was fun to watch!

Dar came into this game with such passion. Immediately he established himself as a power player. He flipped on his immediate alliance with Koko/Grane and changed the game up at the F15, at F14, he took the greed necklace, he found two idols, won four individual immunities (five if you include Greed) and made a tough move at the end to win the game!

They both had a major impact in a different way so we decided to give them both this award. Congrats Dar and Michael!

**RELL**

For his first group game, production was impressed with Jonathan for the few days he was in the game. He was active and made a strong effort socially with his tribe. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make a deep run in the game with his tribe losing all of those challenges mixed with him being out loop for the Koko vote.

Virgo was another one that production was upset to see go so early. He’s new to group games but he seemed like a strong learner early on. He was very active, sent good confessionals and he definitely would’ve been a fun character had he stayed in the game. He was in a great position, it seemed, on the OG Vilcabamba but an unfortunate scenario went wrong for him in his first and only tribal council of the season.

With that being said, we decided to give this award to Rell. When talking about who got a bad swap this season, it’s impossible to not touch on Rell. He was the only Bamba Boy on his tribe mixed in with four of the final 5 in Callia/Dar/Holly/Tyler. Unfortunately, that group wasn’t breaking up so Rell was stuck on an island when his tribe lost the F10 challenge. It also didn’t help that he never got to play the game with his actual alliance (The Bamba Boys). So many things went wrong that were out of his control, so we felt Rell definitely had a lot more to give. That’s why Rell wins this award. Congrats Rell!

**TYLER**

Looking back on Tyler’s game you would not expect at all that this was his first group game, and yet he dominated the whole game until his end. He started making connections right off the bat which put him in a great spot despite his tribe’s losing streak. And once the tribe swap and then merge hit, he was able to take the relationships he built and forge strong alliances that dominated the merge phase of the game. Tyler was also very detailed and kept us informed often on his thought process which also shows his passion and dedication to doing well in the game. For these reasons, Tyler is awarded our Most Surprise Player! Congrats Tyler!

**F9 - RYAN**

Both of these tribals had major impacts on the trajectory of the season, but Ryan’s vote off took the cake!

Virgo’s blindside was the first huge shift in power with Ryan turning on the Bamba Boys to save Matt and take one of his own out, which marked the downfall of that alliance. With the newly swapped Vilcabamba gaining two Salkantay members and losing their first ever challenge, everyone was dying to strategize and get playing the game which led to them splitting the votes and Ryan slipping through the crack. The poetic irony of it all being Michael first thoughts of a split vote saying “they never go well”, and after tribal the literal last message in the chat being “this is why I never split votes” perfectly captured the hectic round that this was. It was close to winning this award, but the merge boot was just slightly more unhinged.

Coming into merge, the Bamba Boys lost another member in Rell, the other side was growing in numbers, and the talk of idols was increasingly growing. Once the challenge ended and Dar claimed the first immunity, everyone went running to find this merge idol first. Ryan already had the Vilcabamba idol in his pocket and a handful of people knew this too.  Many names were being thrown out for the vote, and it seemed as if no one really knew what was going to come about. Nearing tribal, Ryan told others that he was playing his idol, sparking more talk about the vote, and then Matt was able to secure the merge idol. Come tribal, Ryan decided to play his idol on Max, since he knew his name was out there, which prompted Matt to play his idol for Michael thinking that Max was the intended target that round only to find out that Ryan had the majority of votes on him and he went out for 9th. There were so many moving chaotic pieces to this round that it won the award of Tribal of the Season!

**B^G SPOONS**

No other alliance could match the effect that b^g spoons (Callia, Tyler, and Dar) had on this game. Once the tribe swap occurred and these three got together, they held the power the entire rest of the game. There were many variations of other groups with these three and someone else, but this was the core three that came to voting decisions and decided in the end who was going home, back to back to back. For these reasons, they have won Alliance of the Season. Congrats! (The ^ is normally an asterisk but Discord is silly and it’ll mess up the format of the message lol)

SEASON RANKINGS

1). All Stars
2). Nassau
3). Javasu
4). Blood vs Water
5). Santorini
6). Indonesia
**7). MACHU PICCHU**
8). New Zealand
9). One World
10). Maldives

I just want to start off saying that just because this season is ranked 7th does not mean we think this was a bad season. This is a season we will look back on with positive memories. I’m so grateful because the top 7 seasons are all ones that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.

Pros:
The pre-merge of the season was one of the better ones. I loved the cross-tribe banter with most of the challenges. The Koko blindside was fun to watch and the Virgo blindside was one that production loved. Overall, we were very pleased with the pre-merge.
Some great tribals like the Virgo boot, the Ryan boot and the Callia boot.
Incredible players/characters like Dar, Tyler, Callia, Michael and Ryan to name a few!
An amazing winner! I was thrilled to see Dar pull out the win! He was so passionate this season and put a lot into the game so to see him win and be the first unanimous winner is awesome!

Cons:
I think the biggest con that drags this season down is the merge. Honestly, there were times when the merge gameplay was very slow and boring. The Max and Matt vote out in particular didn’t have much interest and we’re basically a slog to get through.
The merge boot order was also very predictable. When the Bamba Boys imploded, it was pretty much an easy steamroll for Callia, Dar and Tyler to gather the numbers with not much opposition. That did get a bit frustrating to watch.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this season! We’re thrilled that we were able to broaden our horizon to host Non-TG players for the first time. We’ve never done a season all on Discord so I’d say it went pretty well!
