Synopsis
20 Contestants - 10 Male 10 Female
All contestants are known only by their inmate number, no names are used.
Contestants spend all of their time in their cells, with a strict set of rules. For 1 hour a day they are allowed to use the courtyard, where you find basketball courts, and some standard exercise equipment.
Contestants are free to forfeit at any time, and leave the prison.
Each Season has a "Snitch" to try and sabotage someones game.
Clicks and prison "gangs" will have to be formed in order to gain protection from being eliminated.
Game of Strategy, Determination, Competition, Intelligence, and Survival
Maximum Prison Sentence of 90 days
Though names are not used or given, and each inmate is referred to only as a number it will be extremely interesting to see how that jail mentality takes over as they each acquire nicknames bestowed upon them from their peers.
Habitat
The 10 Male Contestants are kept in Cell-block A, While the 10 Female contestants are kept in Cell-block B
Each cell-block consists of 5 Cells, each your standard Jail Cell, 2 inmates per.
All contestants are only fed your run of the mill Jail food, bland, small portions, just enough to survive.
There is also a room for Solitary confinement, a small dining room, and male and female showers
Competition & Release
Each week Cell-blocks A and B face off against each other. Winners get their sentences extended for 1 week, as well as some decent meals, extra time in the courtyard, while losers are put up for release. Members of the losing cell-block will vote, and one of them will be released from prison.
Cell-block Rules
All cell-block rules are strict and easily broken. When someone is caught breaking the rules, and only when they're caught will be punished with solitary confinement for 24 hours. If people break the rules, and are not caught by a prison guard, they are not punished. it's prison, shit happens. When the prison is down to 10 inmates they will merge into a single cell-block.
Rules:
1) You must remain in your cell at all times, unless otherwise granted by a guard.
2) No speaking to inmates outside of your cell.
3) Lights out at 8:30pm. No Speaking, No leaving your bunk.
4) Wake up at 6:00am
5) Make your bunk
6) Pass cell inspection at 6:30am
7) No Contact With The Outside
The Snitch
Each season of Jailhouse has a Snitch. The snitch could be in either cell-block and is still an actual contestant Their goal is to make it as long as possible undetected, all the while ratting out other inmates to the prison guards. If successfully undetected, and wins the game. Extra prize bonus. If Released, without being detected, $5,000 prize.
If the snitch is detected the inmate who busts them receives a cash prize of $5,000, and the snitch is released.
Winner
All Eliminated Inmates Return to the Prison as rehabilitated stand-up citizens, we learn their actual names, and they vote on the winner to be released and given the Grand Prize, runner up received secondary prize.
