Hello TSC! As I'm sure you all know, today, April 13th, is National Scrabble Day! I'm honoured that you have taken some time out of your National Scrabble Day celebrations to read this TSC message, bringing you the theme for TSC 434.
It's Scrabble Week!
Long overdue I think! For TSC 434, your artist and song title must have a COMBINED Scrabble score of under 30!For those who aren't familiar with the game (imagine???), each letter is worth a certain number of points, for example, more common letters like A and E are worth 1 point, while Q and Z are worth 10.
Taking from our star-studded TSC 432 line-up, some of the artist scores would be:
royal & the serpent - i can't get high - 45 points (INELIGIBLE)
ARY - Angels - 13 points (ELIGIBLE)
KAMILLE - Mirror Mirror - 29 points (ELIGIBLE)
Shaun Frank - Save Me ft. Ryland James - 60 points (INELIGIBLE)
Dotter - Little Tot - 16 points (ELIGIBLE)
etc.
Note that featured artists will be counted in this Scrabble count as long as they are credited on the song (like with the Shaun Frank ft. Ryland James case above).

-Not be used by an artist who has appeared in TSC three times this year.
-Not have ever been on either the Top 40 US/Top 20 UK Singles Chart at the time to mailer is sent out.
-Not be from an album that charted in the top 5 in the US or UK at the time the mailer is sent out.
-Be 5:00 in length or shorter.
-Not have been used in a previous TSC.
-Have a YouTube video that is embed-enabled.
-Be a studio or professional live recording.
-Not be a cover version of a song.
-Not be a song that has been performed as part of the Eurovision Song Contest.
-Have been released as of 1 January, 2010.
How you choose to interpret this theme is up to you! Will you go for the lowest Scrabble score? The highest? Will you try to find unknown artist ZJ or QX?
