This Power of Veto competition is called “Minus Auction”, and here’s how it works.

In this strategy competition, we will be auctioning off MINUS NUMBERS, and the player with the lowest minus number at the end will win.

In Minus Auction, number cubes ranging from -3 to -25 will be auctioned. Players will have their turn order based from random draw, and each player will start with 7 chips. These chips may be used in order to PASS on a cube.

In each round, a minus number will be drawn randomly and put up for auction one at a time. When a number cube is drawn, players will need to decide in their turn order whether to ACCEPT or PASS the number. If you do not want the current number cube, you may decline and pay 1 chip. If you decline the cube, then the next player will have to decide whether to take the cube or pass.

If you run out of chips, you MUST take the cube, as you have no more chips to pass with.

If you wish to take a cube on your turn, you may say that you want to take it. When a number cube is taken, you will also receive ALL chips that your opponents used to pass on that particular cube.

After the cube is taken, then the next auction will begin. A single auction will not end unless a player takes the cube. The next auction will start with the player who “bought” the previous cube.

When all cubes are auctioned off, the minus numbers you bought will be added up.

IMPORTANT: You will also receive 1 POSITIVE point for each chip you still have at the end of the game.

EXAMPLE: If you have the cubes -17, and -20, along with 5 chips. Your score is (-17) + (-20) + 5 = -32

However, if you buy consecutive minus numbers that sit in numerical order, only the number with the lowest value will be included.

EXAMPLE: If you have -4, -5, -17, -18, -19, -20, and 3 chips. Your score would only be (-4) + (-17) + 3 = -18. As you have -17, -18, -19 and -20, you only take a hit on -17, the lowest number. (and as you have -4 and -5, you only take the hit for -4)

IMPORTANT: Before the auction begins, one number between -3 and -25 will be hidden and NOT put up for auction. It will be completely removed and will not be revealed until the game ends.

The player with the lowest minus score (closest to positive) will win the Power of Veto!
