Yes you read that correctly. Today we are playing a BOOTLEG version of the sport from Harry Potter!
Today each tribe will fill THREE roles over the corse of the game - Chasers, Keepers and Seekers.
In the FIRST part of the competition, each tribe will take it in turns to have 2 players play the role of the Keeper, whilst the other two tribes each elect 1 player each to score points as Chasers (you may change who plays these roles from round to round).
The Chaser objective is to score goals. To do this, each Chaser has TWO posts to make in separate posts as fast as they can (exactly as said with the asterisks):
*lines up shot*
*scores goal*
The Keeper’s objective is to block these goals. Keepers only have one thing to post individually which will block the Chaser goals, however the post MUST land BETWEEN the two Chaser posts in order to successfully stop them scoring (exactly as said with the asterisks):
*blocks shot*
If a Chaser manages to get two posts in without a Keeper blocking, they will earn 10 points for their team. If the Keeper blocks successfully they score nothing.
Each round will last just TWO minutes, in which the Chasers should aim to score as many goals as possible. There will be SIX rounds in total, so that each tribe has TWO turns as the Keepers, and FOUR turns as Chasers.
After that we have the SECOND part of the competition - the Seekers. Each tribe will elect one player to be the Seeker at the START of this comp. The three Seekers categorically CANNOT compete in the FIRST part of the competition no matter what, but the Seekers have potentially important roles.
After all six rounds are played, the Seekers will play a single round where they each attempt to catch the Snitch. They will do this my repeatedly posting (exactly as said with the asterisks):
*catches snitch*
Their aim is to be the first to post that phrase in THREE CONSECUTIVE POSTS, without the Seekers from the other two tribes interrupting them at any point. They have 10 minutes in which to attempt this, and the first Seeker to do it will win a bonus 100 points for their tribe. If no one has done it within 10 minutes, no tribe gets the bonus.
The TWO tribes with the most points at the end will win IMMUNITY and be safe from Tribal Council. In the event of a tie, the tribe that caught the snitch prevails. If that applies to neither tied tribe, there will be a run-off head to head round to break it.
