TRIVIA GAUNTLET 3.0
The name of this Gauntlet is "Gambling Genius"
In this competition each competitor is given 25 coins to start, with the goal to end up with all 50.
In each round I will state the category. Each player will be forced to put in a 1 chip and (which will increase as we go along).
The player in control of that round will have the option to do two things either:
A) Check meaning they will not gamble any other coins
B) Bet a extra amount of coins.
If checked, the opponent will have two options either:
A) To check back which will make the question be asked with winner getting the antes for that round
B) Bet into the pot. If bet then the other player will have to agree (known as a call) the bet, raise the bet, or fold the round giving their opponent whatever has already been bet.
If the player in control bets, then the next player must either fold losing their ante, call the bet and play the question for the pot, or raise and increase the amount the player must pay.
Example round
Host states the category is world history
Each player puts up 1 chip ante
Player A bets 3 chips
Player B can either a) fold losing the 1 chip ante, b) call the 3 chips meaning this question is worth 8 chips or c) raise the bet forcing player A to fold or commit more chips. **
Player B raises to 8 chips total
Player A must put a additional 5 chips in, fold and lose the 4 chips or raise again
Player A calls the 5 extra chips
The question is asked for 18 chips (8+1+1+8) on the line.
Every 4 questions the ante will increase by 2.
The player who acquires all 50 coins will win this Gauntlet and remain in the game. Loser goes home.
