Ramona's Curse lives.

Mar 12, 2014 by zimdelinvasor
Stacey, Bill, Russell, Shamar, Marissa, and now J'Tia: The "black people are the fourth ones to be eliminated" curse stays alive for the sixth consecutive season.

(And if Luzon hadn't lost, it presumably would have been Cliff. The streak was safe no matter what tonight.)

zimdelinvasor  Someone who had no racial prejudice in either direction would never have noticed that.

titanium162 yeah gosh it's so hard to notice someone's skin color like you really have to over analyze and have racial prejudice to notice skin color like for real

WOW copy/paste right from 'addicted to survivor'!!!!!

ARTPOP  Obviously you don't understand what I said.  I can tell that they're black, but only someone who's desperate to find anything and everything racist would notice something like that

ARTPOP  Well sorry if it wasn't sarcasm but it seriously sounded like it was

zimdelinvasor  That wasn't aimed at you, I knew you got it from somewhere else. I've seen all of these seasons and never noticed that, the general obsession over the stat just seemed a little racist to me.

It's not an obsession, it's just a trend that people notice. It's not racist. Being racist would be saying, "Black people are so bad at the game that they DESERVE fourth place." Nobody is saying that. They're just pointing out a trend that people with dark skin get a certain place in a lot of seasons. NOTICING skin color is not the same as racism. When my friend clarifies to me that her brother is gay, that's not her being homophobic. It's simply her taking notice of his sexuality. Same concept.
