Reaction to Survivor Finale

Dec 15, 2016 by ziggyzaggy16
The biggest crybaby in Survivor History just won...

If Survivor: Game Changers isn't amazing I may lose my faith in Survivor.

I wanted Ken to win so bad and I pretty much knew he wasn't going to especially when his number one ally for most of the game, Jessica, bombasted him for taking out David.
It's just that Ken was literally the only person I liked in the Final 6 (Bret is OK).

Hannah is annoying.
Jay is annoying.

Adam is extremely annoying and cries every 2 seconds!

David is the last person in the world I would ever want to be around. He has the exact personality of someone I dislike, needy, scared of everything, and always seeking validation for simple tasks (and trust me the Jeff Probst Fan Club was enabling it!)

I mean I just don't think Adam played the best game of the final 3.

Of the final 3, Hannah played the best game.

Of the final 3, Ken had the best character.

Of the final 3, Adam cried the most about his mother with cancer and the jury felt sorry and voted for him.

I know from personal experience that having a family member with cancer is devastating, but that should not be the reason you win Survivor.

You win Survivor based on your gameplay and character in the game. And Adam gladly followed his alliances before making a failed attempt to get out David and then when Ken makes a move to vote out David the jury thinks Adam convinced him!

Ken made that decision on his own and if anyone convinced him it was Hannah in the ocean talking to Ken about the vote while Adam and David pow-wowed about how they were gonna vote each other off.

Personally, if I was sitting on the jury depending on my state of mind I would vote for either Hannah or Ken, but NEVER Adam. Honestly, Adam was ranked 5th out of 6 for people I believed should have won heading into the finale. And he didn't do anything spectacular in the finale than just sit there and cry.

If I was in a logistic strategic state, my vote would have gone to Hannah hands-down who slayed that final tribal stating all her strategic moves to get where she was.

If I was in an emotional state, I would have voted for Ken because he represented that Survivor can still be played with loyalty and honesty and you don't need to EVOLVE the game to win! (I hated Zeke's jury question.)

Anyways, I hope Adam enjoys his one million. He will probably spend it on a lot of tissues so he can cry some more.

I'm excited for Survivor Game Changers, gonna make a list of the people I'm excited for, not excited for, and neutral about heading into the new season.

Adam was winning regardless of the mom thing or not. You do not win ALL TEN JURY VOTES with sympathy alone. Hannah was seen as a flip flopper and therefore her game was not respected and Ken's whole idea was loyalty and integrity, and that image was broken on the Dave vote.

to call him a crybaby is so disrespectful. Did the editors throw in more emotional Adam scenes than necessary? Yeah, probably. But I dont care if you enjoyed watching him or not, to say shit like "Anyways, I hope Adam enjoys his one million. He will probably spend it on a lot of tissues so he can cry some more." is disgusting.

He had the weight of the world on his shoulders. His mom was his world.

and you know what? No, you DONT know. it's not just a family member he's lost, it's his god damn parent. unless that member was one of yours (which you are implying it's not), you DONT know. Im not undercutting your experience but i've lost multiple family members to cancer and i've lost my father to suicide. the two are not comparable.  you lose a parent and your god damn world is kicked upside down. that pain and lingering feelings of doubt, regret, loss, you will NEVER know the extent until you experience it. Survivor was a major bonding force for Adam and his mother, it was both their dreams. it's a highly emotional setting for a highly emotional issue and i'm not standing for disrespect towards one of the bravest and strongest contestants we've seen on the show.

I'm not disrespecting his bond with his mother, I am simply disappointed that his bond with his mother was used to win him the game.

I did lose my grandfather to cancer, and I know it is not the same but we were very close. I am truly sorry for any family you lost, but I am currently looking at this game from strictly a logistically point of view.

I just felt Adam used it as a crutch for his jury plea and if he thought he could win without it, then I don't think he should have brought it up.

It is a sad thing and I understand that it has to be an emotional rollercoaster, but I am just stating the brutal facts here.

Adam cried...A LOT!

And he had good reason to, maybe I can't relate on an emotional level as I am not a very emotional person, but I just felt it was kinda getting excessive like he was using it to win.

Now I could never imagine losing a parent that way and it really is saddening that such horrible things happen in the world, but I was looking at it through the Survivor World, not the real world.

I'm sorry if I offended you in anyway, that was not the intention of the article. I was simply disappointed with the finale.
