6 will now be 3, as I have waited patiently for 3 to submit, who never did. I’ve been taking my time too at times, but now I can’t wait any longer.
Let’s wrap this up!
The stars in our final 3 are Rodulph , Jenii_Valenta and Chic . Soon, one of you will call yourself the winner of CMG 2.
As you are in final 3, I will give you 3 themes. The best selection in each theme wins a point. If it ends up in a 1-1-1 tie, I will introduce a tiebreaker.
The themes are:
“Non-Pop”
I want you to submit a song that stands out, and isn’t considered a pop song. Music consists of many genres, and I want to see what you can offer me outside of the regular chart anthems.
“Songs with a strong message”
Send me to tears or make me feel woke by submitting a song with a strong message. It can be a lot of things: Rights, politics, war, love, equality...you name it!
“Self-written songs”
A lot of artists have the privilege of receiving songs written by the music industry’s best song writers. I want you to submit a song the artist wrote themselves.
Win me over with your submissions by writing a few words about them, if you wish.
Good luck! If you have any questions, I’m happy to help you!
Comments
Songs with a message can also be about the artists personal problems, it’s a very wide theme.
Non-Pop: I decided to go with queen of rock Pat Benetar. "Shadows of the Night" garnered Benatar her third Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance in 1983.
Songs with a strong message: Britney sings about the struggles of growing up and not knowing where she belongs.
Non-Pop: when I read the theme I immediately thought: Country hahaha
Songs with a strong message: This song connects me to a feeling of strength and confidence, I need to choose it.
Self-written songs: When I was a teenager, I didn't like Kesha's songs, but when I heard that song and researched the lyrics, I changed my opinion about Kesha
With that, I finish my participation, it was fun! 💙
