Genuine question out of curiosity

Do y’all count “having a preference” as being racist?

I personally do as to me it’s literally admitting you see a race as being inferior to your own or another race but I am trying to understand the other side to it....

I don’t think it’s racist.. personally there’s a particular race I would never even think about dating. Yuck!

I mean honestly it’s probably just the impact of who you are exposed to as most families are limited to one or two races max and because of this there are preferences for those races as you are more comfortable with them which is understandable as that’s only something that can be expanded upon over time...

So I get it notnicky333

I mean I’d never like attack someone for saying it but I’d probably like vocalize a discussion asking why simply because It seems like an inherently racist thing... so I don’t think it makes you a racist as a whole ... but it just seems like a thing that In years to come we will realize was a racist belief but were unable to truly accept or control because of how exposed we are to our own race and how our upbringing probably impacts our standard of attractiveness and beauty

coming from a person who's mainly attracted to latino men....i dont think its racist cause i cant control it

Would you date someone 10 times heavier than you? Probably not. Many societal factors come into play to determine our sexual preferences. Not wanting to date a certain race doesn't fully indicate that the person is racist, but in most cases they could be...

Tea I mean literally that would probably solidify my thinking that it’s just brought on by our own beauty standards that are heavily impacted by our upbringing and culture so that’s most likely the best way to put it

Honestly as long as they are not on the verge of having a stroke and treat me nice, that's what I care most about. They also should have a good taste in some area top20fan33

Well, I see it this way. Have you seen every single person alive of a certain race? If not, then how do you know there isn't a single one you would find attractive? If you're not typically attracted to such and such race it is okay. But to say things like "I could NEVER possibly be attracted to a person of this race" does sound hateful to me.
