It's honestly sad about Roseanne
May 30, 2018
- I loved Roseanne as a kid, and her antics as of late don't change what she accomplished in the past, and here's my reasoning.
I think this whole situation shouldn't be about race, and if you make it about race or feel offended over it, truly you're stupid. This situation brings light to another problem that needs to be addressed and that's mental health.
And I'm making it clear I'm not defending Roseanne. She made a racist remark, and there's no spinning it to make it sound like she was attempting anything else let alone comedy. She got pissed off and made a racist comment. However, she's had problems in the past but before her problems she had a good message and fought to support the people she now hates.
In the 80s and 90s Rosie was a completely different person, then she started dating that cheesy casino comic Tom Arnold. And after that she started showing really concerning signs of possibly being bi-polar or even schizophrenic or a combination of the two. From firing her entire writing staff after winning a fucking emmy (control) to firing main characters like Crystal out of the blue.
Roseanne was on a downward spiral. And recently it seemed as if she was starting to come to, however, she started getting politically charged, and with the outburst it seems she may not have yet recovered.
But her show in it's time was amazing, and was pretty good with the reboot. And it's NOT because of Roseanne. John Goodman, Sara Gilbert and everyone involved were great and they shouldn't be punished because of one person's behavior.
