Went to my first wrestling show last night

May 20, 2018 by tomhartnell
OMG, I can't believe I've never been to a live action show. I love pro wrestling, and have since I was a kid. I love the art of it, and the storytelling when it's done right. And last night I went to my first live action show. My friend spotted me a ticket, and It was better than watching it on tv honestly. I talked to a few guys before they got in the ring, and holy shit just the little smoke break pre match made me enjoy the match even more.

One of the wrestlers I went to high school with. His name is JD Bandit, and he and I would talk about WCW during class, because when I was a kid my dad wouldn't let me watch WWF. And having a friend in school I could talk about wrestling with was awesome, because in wisconsin WWF was the show everyone watched, and I knew little about the attitude era until I was a teenager. And JD always talked about how he wanted to be a wrestler. Last night I seen a line of children, and they wanted JD's signature, everyone else scared them, but JD had bright colors painted on his face, and the kids loved him. I finally got up to him in line (I let all the kids get in front of me) When it was my time I told him that I was so proud of him, seeing that he's living his dream makes me so happy, and I always knew how committed he was. I hugged him and said Good Job brother.

And he actually teared up. I had to leave early, but I got to tell him how happy I was for him. And the matches were awesome, they had a low ceiling with ceiling fans so they couldn't jump or do those moves, and to see these guys improvise around their limitations, Man Indy wrestling is fucking good when done right. Good Job Boys
