So after a few attempts I've finally won a .com Hunger Games :c I've never done one of these so I decided I should just this once :) I know a lot of people in the cast may have some hard feelings about my gameplay, so I am taking my time to explain to them what I did and why, anybody else can feel free to read it too.
So first of all, I decided about 10 minutes before the game began to join and yolo'd my way in, and once in I clicked my favorite bush, bush 7 and it was health. After inspecting the cast, it was safe to say I was friends with about 18 or 19 people in the cast so I mostly would have to stay neutral this whole game and not pick a side on every single argument like I had done in past games. For these reasons, I saved up all my arrows and wouldn't fire unless I was being targeted myself, some may think it was selfish but I was doing this to protect me, and 38 arrows was pretty threatening to many people as it helped me remain untargeted for a large portion of the game.
Anyway, so when I found the bush I decided to tell just about everyone to get on peoples good sides, another part in trying to not get targeted. Usually I just focus on the physical and strategical aspect of the game, but I decided I'd play a more social game this time, make friends with friends and not make enemies. This meant after an hour or two I made deals with a lot of people saying I wouldn't attack them if they didn't attack me blah blah blah.
After gaining about 4 experience, I decided to try a few circles so my experience would be a bit higher as at that point Spinner554 already had 16 experience, however knew I should keep it low. I settled on 10 experience before stopping to do circles for a while. I was able to guess a few more bushes correctly and even made a pattern to keep track of, which I was able to do and get health for basically the whole game. I told only people I trusted, limiting who I told each time :c
Nobody really wanted to do anything after everyone gained experience hence why we went almost a full day with only 3 deaths. When the bannings happened, things picked up though. I had went to bed and wasn't involved with any death up until I fought @Ohhayy. I had 31 arrows at this point and we got to the point where he was low on health and I didn't feel like playing endurance so I just arrowed him at the last few seconds as I always do, which is smart because if you are fast enough they cannot retaliate with arrows at you :)
However I lost a lot of friends and potential long term allies during the banning which I was upset about :c I wasn't involved in the first 10 deaths as I was asleep and still remaining neutral, only fighting who wished to fight and arrowing who was after me. I did two more circles which put myself at 14xp, which I thought was good enough to stop. I knew #Rebelman2227 and Spinner554 both were at 16xp and had tons of arrows and on top of that were basically a dynamic duo so I knew I had to do something about that. I waited patiently for a time to arrive, along the way a few more people died. I went to do homework and do other things and when I got back, the feud between Johnster and Kentuckyy ended and both were shot dead, Stefan using some of his arrows which I needed him to use a bit more of if I wanted a shot at killing him.
My plan was to leave the bigger target on Stefan until I knew I could have him shot dead, and then hopefully end the game after that, which I started to put into motion. Lilkim then attacked me when I was trying to get an axe I think so out of annoyance I shot him dead, only using 1 arrow which put me at 37 arrows.
I was getting bitched at by many people to kill Stefan and that he was a threat by people in and out of the game, and at the same time was being told he and Austin were targeting me by multiple sources, although I won't go name them incase they don't want to be put on the hot seat, but they know who they are. Anyways, Austin and Stefan wanted me out badly due to finding out about my arrows and probably my experience had something to do with it. I was actually glad about this as now I had a reason to break out of my neutrality, and slowly Jm101 and I planned out what we would do. Suddenly arrows were sent flying at Gothiczebra, which I was glad, as one, those were arrows belonging to Austin and Stefan so they wouldn't be firing at me anytime soon, and two it would be easier to get Robert on my side when he got home. At this point, Austin, Stefan and Jgoodies were begging me to shoot Robert, but I knew the time was coming to take out Stefan.
This is where the game changed, Spinner554 died and almost immediately after, Stefan got banned. I gathered a chat of myself, Robert, Jeff, Andy and Lachie who was MIA at the time to shoot Stefan so we could end the game tonight. I put my plan into motion and shot 20 arrows, saving the other 18 incase somebody decided to stall the game.
When Stefan died, I knew one of the biggest threats of the game was out, and now the only part of my plan left to complete was to make the game end in that night before people gathered arrows to use on me. I promised I wouldn't attack anybody and wouldn't use arrows unless people decided to stall the game, and after a while people started to fight but I put myself in a position where nobody would attack me as I still had leftover arrows and was talking to just about everyone at the time. Jeff and I devised a plan, or well Jeff did and I helped him with it, to kill Lachie to make the game go faster, that I would shoot him dead after Jeff beat him in a fight he was supposed to give health to Lachie in I think. Anyway that happened and we were down to 6.
Jgoodies only wanted to fight xbadgirlblondex at the time and Amf7410 was fighting Gothiczebra, while Jeff and I were sitting in the corn, Jeff time to time giving health I think or getting health back. Either way, Robert fell victim to Andy's deal or no deal skills and after 3 hours Nicholas died :c I was still in the position where I was basically guaranteed final two as nobody wanted to attack me and I had 15 arrows and gained two swords during the fight between Goodies and Nicholas. After 4 hours Nicholas died, and shortly after Jgoodies did too. Andy and Jeff fought for just about ever and Jeff came from behind and killed Andy :c
So my first real fight since Lilkim basically as nobody wanted to attack me at all was against Jeff which we were both at 100 health in, eventually my swords were used winning Match3 twice, but I ran 3 times from guitar 3 times in a row and then lost in numbers after scoring 760 in it. I played wheel of fortune and scored 50k just about every time I played, and then won words by a lot :c At this point Jeff was at 9 health and the challenge was wof again, ironically the challenge that killed me in my last final two with Jallina15 :c I pulled out another 50k score somehow with a last minute 30k puzzle and was able to finally win @_@
My overall strategy was to remain neutral at times and not piss anybody off to much, and then manipulate things to my advantage however I could. I didn't necessarily backstab anybody, although I didn't help them arrow either. You can say I floated kind of because I didn't pick a side, but I knew my only chance of winning was by saving up my arrows and playing friends with everyone :) and in the end it worked so :c
