and I medaled for the very first time in running career in my age category! I'm so pumped. I placed 2nd in my age category with a time of 29 minutes, 6 seconds. I'm incredibly grateful and thankful for how much time and effort I put into meeting my goals this week. I cut my time down by 2 minutes, 33 seconds (in just my second race). I'm just so stunned. over the week, I cut my weight and I kept improving my time. so cool to receive my first medal!
RodneyRules1219 the entire race had 214 runners and I placed 25th overall. some of my perseverance started to wear off around the first mile/first mile and a quarter. but I finished the 2nd half of the race very strong as I passed 6 runners and I maintained my distance. I need to work on finding my pace and sticking to a better mental game plan.
Oliviaxoxo thanks for the support, fam! and it is freaking brilliant. let me tell you. since Monday, I shed 2.6 pounds before I raced this morning. I know my race time and my weight will level out and I won't see anything freaking amazing. but I'm totally stunned I cut my time down in this race. keeping the train going. here we go.
