Who was the Most Valuable Character of Survivor: Edge of Extinction? I decided to go episode by episode, and out of the top 2 confessional getters for the episode, I picked whoever I thought deserved the game ball for making the best TV.
Episode 1
Keith (0) vs. Wendy (0)
Both had good character moments with Keith being taught how to swim and Wendy telling everyone she has Tourette's, but I'm going to give Keith the point for being cutthroat and throwing Reem under the bus before tribal council.
Episode 2
Victoria (0) vs. Wardog (0) vs. Kelley (0) vs. David (0)
I think I'm going to give this point to Kelley for being apart of the plot, with people targeting her to her leading a hunt to find an idol.
Episode 3
Wendy (0) vs. David (0)
David tried to blindside Kelley, but it didn't pan out, while we had Wendy who stole the tribe's flint and conspired to set the chickens free, so she gets the point.
Episode 4
Rick (0) vs. Kelley (1)
Neither had any particularly memorable moments, but I suppose this point goes to Devens for having his super emotional send off.
Episode 5
Aubry (0) vs. Rick (1) vs. Keith (1)
Although Aubry had her big blindside this episode, nothing she did was super memorable, so I'm giving this point to Keith for sneaking off and trying to get the advantage for himself, before being tackled by Chris.
Episode 6
Kelley (1) vs. Aubry (0)
Aubry didn't do much this episode, so I will give the point to Kelley, who we at least got to see scramble with her tribe at the thought of a rock draw.
Episode 7
Julie (0) vs. Rick (1)
We saw Rick return from the Edge with two halves of an idol, but we also saw Julie not wanting to vote Rick out due to him just being on the Edge, and winning immunity. It's close, but I think with Julie being in on the Joe blindside, I will give her the point.
Episode 8
Ron (0) vs. David (0)
We see David refusing to give Devens' idol back, but we also get to see Ron attempting to keep the Six together with his promise of the family visit as well as keeping Rick/David on his side. I think I'm going to give it to Ron here.
Episode 9
Gavin (0) vs. Julie (1)
Gavin did not do much this episode, this point goes to Julie for her yelling at tribal council and sitting on David's lap.
Episode 10
Wardog (0) vs. Julie (2) vs. David (0)
For this episode, I think you have to give it to Wardog for spearheading the blindside of Kelley Wentworth.
Episode 11
Ron (1) vs. Gavin (0) vs. Rick (1) vs. Lauren (0)
We got to see Rick trying to form a big threats alliance, we got to see him and Wardog massaging each other at the mudpits, and we got to see him win immunity, however, I think you have to give it to Ron, who had much more to do with what went on in the episode, he reconciled with Julie after the Wentworth blindside, and he fought with Aurora.
Episode 12
Rick (1) vs. Ron (2)
The whole fake advantage menu episode. I give this point to Rick for his performance at tribal council.
Episode 13
Rick (2) vs. Gavin (0) vs. Lauren (0) vs. Aurora (0)
Rick gets this point as well, as all the plot revolved around him, but he was able to win immunity and use his idol to help protect Julie.
Episode 14
Chris (0) vs. Rick (3)
Although Rick was great this episode with his fake idols, I think it'd be crazy not to give this to Chris, who won his way back in and made crazy big moves like making fire against Rick because he had to if he wanted to win, which made great TV.
