MVC of Island of the Idols

May 1, 2021 by survivornerd
Who was the Most Valuable Character of Survivor: Island of the Idols? I decided to go episode by episode, and out of the top 2 confessional getters for the episode, I picked whoever I thought deserved the game ball for making the best TV.

Episode 1
Elizabeth (0) vs. Elaine (0) - We watched Elizabeth lose against Rob which was funny especially when Rob was chastising her for going against him in fire, but I'm giving this point to Elaine, I felt her personality popped more this episode and she had more to do with this episode's plot with Ronnie coming for her.

Episode 2
Kellee (0) vs. Tommy (0) vs. Jason (0)
This point definitely goes to Kellee after her Island of the Idols visit, and returning with an idol in her hair.

Episode 3
Karishma (0) vs. Vince (0)
Vince had a great episode here with sneaking into the other tribe's camp, but I'm giving this point to Karishma for her relationship with her tribe, people talking about splitting the vote in front of her and her literally getting injured and having her tribe not react.

Episode 4
Noura (0) vs. Lauren (0) vs. Elaine (0) vs. Missy (0) vs. Aaron (0) vs. Jamal (0)
Noura totally gets this point for her Michael Scott-esque attempt to get her tribe to make her the caller, and of course it does not work.

Episode 5
Dean (0) vs. Karishma (1)
This point goes to Dean for his detective work early on, and we also get to see him bond with Kellee.

Episode 6
Elaine (1) vs. Jamal (0)
We got to see a great scene discussing race with Jamal and Jack, but Elaine was definitely the MVP of the episode, with her getting the vote block at the challenge, and then using it to send Jason out of the game.

Episode 7
Lauren (0) vs. Janet (0) vs. Kellee (1)
We got to see Janet flash her tribemates, but Kellee gets this point for her crazy plan to blindside Jack, although it was super messy.

Episode 8
Tommy (0) vs. Kellee (2)
One half of the awful episode, ultimately this point will go to Kellee because it doesn't feel right to give it to anybody else.

Episode 9
Janet (0) vs. Jamal (0)
Jamal was totally screwed, and although he came across as a great guy and character, I think Janet was definitely the stand out here, so she gets the point.

Episode 10
Janet (1) vs. Karishma (1)
Karishma gets this point for finding the idol, then lying about being sick to her tribemates. We then got to watch Missy and her fight, leading to her voting Missy out of the game.

Episode 11
Dean (1) vs. Lauren (0)
Both had fun episodes, with Dean writing his fake legacy advantage and then playing it, and with Lauren convincing the rest of the tribe to choose food over playing in the immunity, and ultimately having her plan pay off and winning an idol. I am going to give this one to Lauren.

Episode 12
Dean (1) vs. Karishma (2)
In this episode we got Dean, who ruined the fun plan of blindsiding Tommy, a power player in the game, and Karishma was Karishma, so Karishma gets this point.

Episode 13
Tommy (0) vs. Dean (1)
We got to see Tommy's good gameplay this episode, but Dean gets this point for getting his shoes hidden, and the scene where he tells Rob and Sandra about his fake legacy advantage plan.

Episode 14
Tommy (0) vs. Dean (2)
This is tough, both had fun episodes. Tommy successfully conned Noura into taking him into the final 3, while Dean found the idol at the final 5, he had his date with Noura, and his funny final tribal performance where he stunted on Tommy with his immunity bling, and quickly was deflated when he got called out for lying. I'm giving this one to Dean.

1 GAME BALL - Noura Salman, Janet Carbin, Lauren Beck

2 GAME BALLS - Elaine Stott

3 GAME BALLS - Kellee Kim, Karishma Patel, Dean Kowalski

#survivor

So there's a tie! Between Kellee, Karishma, and Dean. I can tell you my favorite when I was watching was Karishma, but I'd love to see any of them return, although I'm not sure Kellee or Karishma would.
