EPISODE 6
TG sees Bubba as not only a threat to win the challenge, but she also did not see eye to eye with him in terms of the game, so she penalizes him. Jeff ends up winning the re-entry challenge! After getting the purple rock due to his unwavering loyalty, he gets another life in the game. After they all return to the Edge of Extinction, TG decides that she probably won’t win the next re-entry challenge and raises the mast and leaves the game. At the Vata tribe, Kyle finds the newly hidden merge immunity idol! This leaves Aria, Alvaro, and Kyle all with an idol. Craig and Kyle have a tight alliance, as do Kyle and Kate. Mac and Oli have a 2 person alliance. And, Alex, Mama Z, Aria, and Craig are in an alliance. Mac and Mama Z find something in common despite not always voting together on original Manu. Alex and Aria bond strongly, and this leaves a lasting impact on their relationship. Daniel continues to impress the rest of the team with his work ethic at camp. Kate wins the first individual immunity! Daniel sees Alvaro as a threat to his game, and is hurt that Alvaro has not been working with him after they had an early alliance, so Daniel guns for Alvaro hard. Kate wants to keep Alvaro in the game since she still thinks that Alvaro has loyalty to her, so she wants Daniel out, as he is a threat anyways. Meanwhile, Oli still wants to turn on his former tribe, namely Mama Z since she has the ability to coast to the end, and she and Mac are getting too close for him. Once Daniel tells Mama Z, Alex, Aria, and Craig the Alvaro plan, they are all in, as long as the target isn’t on them. Craig proceeds to go to Kyle and he tells him all about the Alvaro plan, and Kyle agrees. However, Kate wants Kyle to vote against Daniel with her. Oli convinces Mac that Mama Z should be their votes in case Alvaro plays an idol. Alvaro senses that he might be going, so at tribal council he stands up and plays his idol. This proved to be the correct move, as 7 votes came his way. Alex, Aria, Mama Z, Craig, Daniel, and Raleigh and Fiona all put their votes on him. Mac and Oli put their votes on Mama Z, but Kyle ended up siding with Kate, Alvaro, and the new returnee into the game, Jeff, in voting against Daniel, sending him out of the game and to the Edge.
EPISODE 7
Craig, Kyle, Mac, Mama Z, Oli, and Raleigh win a reward of Chinese takeout back at camp. Fiona sees that Mac and Oli put their votes on Mama Z and is offended by this, more offended than Mama Z herself. She sees it as a betrayal, and gets into a fight with Mac over it. This leads to people not siding with Fiona, and Fiona having a meltdown. Aria comforts Mac and tells him that she understands the move, which has a lasting impact on their relationship. Craig wins immunity! The targets from last round haven’t changed. Unfortunately for Alvaro, his idol play was a big move, which resulted in Craig still gunning for him. Oli still wants Mama Z out since now she knows about him voting against her. Kyle apologizes to Craig about not telling him about the Daniel blindside, but Craig is quick to forgive, and Kyle and Kate want to vote Alvaro as well. Craig also convinces his alliance with Alex, Mama Z, and Aria to vote that way. Mac and Oli target Mama Z, wanting to keep Alvaro in the game as a meat shield. Craig, Alex, Mama Z, Aria, Kyle, and Kate had 6, so Raleigh, Jeff, and Fiona all decided to roll with the numbers. Mac and Oli were blindsided as Alvaro was voted out of the game, 9-3.
EPISODE 8
Raleigh decides now is the time to take the game by the horns, after rolling with the numbers for a long time. She goes to old friend Jeff, and they decide to form an alliance with Alex and Kate, that way they have people from different factions of the game. Raleigh also bonds with Kyle and Oli especially, just to get more friends in the game. Fiona wins the immunity challenge! Mac and Oli are the two big targets due to them being on the wrong side of the votes at the last tribal council, however, Oli still wants to take Mama Z out of the game. Unless Mac and Oli had idols, which they did not, it was clear that one of them would leave. But who would it be out of the two of them? Mama Z wanted Oli out more since he was the one who was mainly gunning for. Fiona would like to see Mac go since he played a more under the radar game, while Oli would always be there to get rid of. Alex, Aria, Craig, and Mama Z would vote for Oli, but the alliance of Alex, Jeff, Kate, and Raleigh wanted to vote Mac with Fiona, mostly due to Raleigh bonding with Oli. This leaves the vote at 4-4-2, but Kate wants Kyle to vote Mac with her alliance. Kyle also tries to convince Craig to join them, making the vote 6-3-2. Craig ultimately decided that he would stay true to his alliance with Kyle, which did make the vote 6 to 3 to 2, sending Mac out of the game.
EPISODE 9 (PT 1)
Kyle tells Alex that he was sorry that the vote went the way he wasn’t expecting, but Alex was understanding and they bonded over it. Fiona and Kate got into a fight after she suspected that Kate and Kyle were closer than she thought, which they were. Kyle took Kate’s side in things, which resulted to them bonding strongly, and having a lasting impact on their relationship. Kyle wins immunity! Jeff is targeting Oli, Kyle is targeting Aria. Oli is the big name as his alliance was crumbling, and Jeff pushed for this, but Kyle was more keen on getting rid of Aria, a big threat in the game in his eyes. Kyle talked to Kate about it, as well as Craig. Craig had a big ally in Aria, so he couldn’t. Kate was down, but knew that the numbers weren’t there. Kyle begrudgingly voted Oli, but Kate threw a vote towards Aria with Oli in case Oli had an idol. Unfortunately for Oli, Craig, Aria, Alex, Mama Z, Raleigh, Jeff, Kyle, and Fiona all voted for him, sending him to the Edge by a vote of 8-2.
EPISODE 9 (PT 2)
At the immunity challenge, Craig was able to win immunity. Jeff is targeting Aria, Aria is targeting Jeff, Alex is targeting Kyle. Aria wanted Jeff out for being a big threat in terms of jury because he was on the Edge. Jeff felt this and wanted to blindside Aria. However, Craig let it slip that Aria was the plan of Kyle’s. This led to Alex, Mama Z, and Aria wanting to vote for Kyle to get him out of the game, and to split up his connection with Kate. Kyle wanted Craig to vote Jeff, since he knew that Craig wouldn’t vote for who he really wanted to go, Aria. The alliance of Kate, Alex, Jeff, and Raleigh wanted Aria out. However, Alex was also aligned with Aria. There were lots of overlapping allegiances going on, and it was sure to be an important tribal council. Craig decided he couldn’t vote against Kyle, and cast his vote for Jeff. Alex decided to turn on his new alliance and stuck with Aria and Mama Z and they voted for Kyle. However, Kyle, Kate, Raleigh, Jeff, and the great Fiona all put their votes on Aria, sending her out 5-3-1, and Aria was sent to the Edge with an idol in her pocket.
The early merge stage is over, and we are heading into the endgame! We have yet to see who the second player to come back from the Edge of Extinction will be. Who is your favorite? Who is your winner pick? And who do you want to see come back from the Edge?
