Survivor: Game Changers 2 BRANTSTEELE Pt. 6 (finale)

Apr 21, 2020 by survivornerd
For this cast, I took the spirit of the first Game Changers cast and included some legends that I want to see return, as well as some fun WTF picks who were out in the premerge and things like that.

Episode 21
The tribe dynamics stood like this: Shirin had an idol, and a tight alliance with Mari. The other tight alliance was Ryan and Alexis, leaving Jay, Josh, and Vince M as free agents. Josh wins a reward of sleeping in a comfortable bed. He decides to share it with Ryan to gain favor with him, and hopefully his alliance with Alexis. Vince Moua decided that he needed a person he could trust and he didn't have a number 1. He went to Josh with this plan, since no one would expect it, as they have been at odds all game. However, this alliance was very flimsy. Josh wins an important immunity. Shirin was still hellbent on getting rid of Jay, the single biggest threat in the game. However, Vince Moua was friends with Jay, and was more intent on splitting up the tightest pair in the game, Ryan and Alexis. Jay knew that the plan was to vote Alexis, but he knew his fate, and wanted to send a spite vote towards Shirin. Josh and Vince stuck to the plan and voted Alexis, but Ryan and Alexis teamed up with Shirin and Mari and sent Jay out of the game 4-2-1.

Episode 22
Vince wins a reward of a one night stay at a hotel. There's a second reward challenge that Ryan wins, and he also gets a stay. They get to invite one person to come with them, and they go with Ryan's closest ally in the game, Alexis. Since Josh, Mari, and Shirin weren't picked, they are headed to Exile Beach. At Exile Beach, everyone went to look for the idol, and Shirin found her second idol, making her the most powerful player in the game.

Episode 23
Shirin, Vince M, and Mari win an advantage in the upcoming immunity challenge. Alexis and Mari bond slightly, and want to stick together to get rid of the bigger threats still in the game. Josh has a meltdown over feeling like he has no finger on the pulse in the game. Despite not having an advantage, Ryan wins the immunity challenge. Ryan wants to get rid of Shirin as she is the biggest gameplayer left. Josh and Vince would like to see the other go, leaving themselves as the 1 swing vote in between the pairs at the five, but if they had to vote together, they'd go for Alexis. At tribal council, Shirin obviously played one of her idols, negating the Alexis and Ryan votes against her. Shirin and Mari put their votes on Vince as he was more likely to win over a jury than Josh, who flipped on his tribe. Josh ended up siding with Vince and voted for Alexis. There was 2-2 tie between Vince and Alexis, which left the rest to break the tie. Ryan of course didn't want to vote against his final 2, so he, Shirin, and Mari voted Vince Moua out of the game, with only Josh voting for Vince to stay.

Episode 24
Ryan was able to win yet another immunity challenge. Alexis and Ryan decide they definitely need to take Shirin out now that she has played an idol to save herself, while Shirin and Mari decide to take shots at the only other pair left in the game and want to vote against Alexis. At the last minute, Alexis decided to betray her alliance and threw a vote on Josh, while Josh and Ryan voted Shirin. Shirin of course had her idol, and she played it negating those votes. Shirin and Mari then were able to take Alexis out of the game, 2-1.

Episode 25
Mari makes a final 2 with Josh because she's afraid of him winning his way to the end, and she's also unsure of going to the end with Shirin, who has idoled herself to the final 4. Josh wins a clutch immunity at the final 4. Ryan makes the point to Josh and Mari that Shirin has played an awesome game, but Mari isn't sure whether to do that because Ryan also has friends on the jury. Josh decides that he does not want to let Shirin reach the end of the game, so he and Ryan put their votes on her, while Shirin and Mari vote for Ryan. At the revote, neither Josh nor Mari budges, sending Ryan and Shirin to firemaking. Unfortunately for Ryan, Shirin wins the firemaking, eliminating him.

Finale
Josh and Mari both know that it's probably best to get rid of Shirin now that she has gotten yet another hero moment of winning the firemaking. Josh is able to win the final immunity, finally splitting up the pair of Shirin and Mari. The vote is a foregone conclusion, and Shirin, who played a hell of a game, is sent out of the game with Josh's vote, leaving Josh and Mari in the final tribal council. Despite Josh flipping on them, Alecia, Nadiya, and Wendy were Josh fans since he was a nice guy overall. Ryan also wanted to reward Josh for giving him a chance to stay with the firemaking. However, Shirin wanted Mari to win since they worked together so closely. Vince Moua did not get along with Josh at all, so he also voted for Mari. Jay voted for Mari since they had a pre-existing relationship. This left Alexis and Angelina in the middle. By a vote of 5-4 the winner of Survivor: Game Changers 2 is....

Mari Takahashi! Alecia wins the Sia money for her winning streak keeping her in the game, and getting rocked out when she wasn't even a target.
