Sierra's journey began on the first episode when she found the immunity idol meant for the other tribe, she then gave it to Artis in hopes of creating some cross-tribe alliance. At tribal council, she was already thinking ahead of the game by throwing votes out in case an idol was played, but no idol was played and Rick went home. At her next tribal council, her foursome alliance consisting of her, Brett, Carter, and Chelsea decided to target Nick. However there was a tie, and on the revote Sierra made the executive decision and flip on someone who wanted her gone, Sunday. Sierra's tribe went on an amazing win streak and didn't have to go back to tribal until episode 9. Her alliance continued to dominate and they picked Whitney off for being perceived as weak. At the next tribal before the merge, she had to make a decision: take out a weaker player and stick with your alliance, or flip and take out a threat. She decided to make the big move, and she voted out Chelsea. She then voted Wes back into the game because she thought that there would be bad blood between her and Chelsea. Sierra and the rest of Samatau picked Krista off with ease at the first merge vote. At the final 9, Sierra continued her strategy of voting for someone in case people have idols. Although it didn't end up amounting to anything, her alliance was still able to send someone home with an idol in his pocket. At the final 8, Nick wanted to blindside Sierra since Samatau had the numbers advantage by 2, but Sierra's former allies went to her and told her about Nick's plan. She then flipped to Asaga and took Nick out in a major blindside. The 3 of Brett, Carter, and Sierra continued causing havoc by giving people fake names and ultimately being the sole reason for one of the game's biggest players, Kelly Wiglesworth, going home. At the final 6, she went to Jeremiah and Wes and offered them a final 3 deal, so now she was in two different 3 man alliances at the final 5.
Jeremiah began his game by forming a tight foursome at the beginning of the game consisting of Purple Kelly, Hope, and Krista. They controlled the first vote and sent out their biggest opposition, Troyzan. At the very next tribal council he was targeted, but he was able to sway Artis and Brad over to his side of the numbers and they sent Mary out instead. At his next tribal council, he saw that Wes was faking an idol in his pants, and he saw him as a gamer so he got his alliance to split the votes on him and Wiglesworth, sending Wes out the door. At the next tribal council his ally Hope was waivering on the alliance, so he and his other allies had to make the tough decision to send her out the door. All of this chaos brought him and Krista closer together, and they agreed to look out for one another. He had to vote out another ally since the alliance kept imploding, so he sent Artis home. After Purple Kelly played her idol at the last tribal council, and didn't tell Jeremiah about her idol, Jeremiah decided that she needed to go home, and just like that, she did. When it came time to vote either Wes or Chelsea back into the game, he decided to stick Asaga strong and vote for Wes to come back and draw him in as a potential ally. At the first merge vote, all of the Samatau tribe wanted to vote Jeremiah out as they saw him as top dog, but he was able to pull off an immunity win. However, he still suffered the loss of his closest ally as Krista went to the jury. At the next tribal council, he was able to orchestrate one of the most complex blindsides of the season, and sent Leif, a member of the majority alliance home. At the final 6, the underdog Jeremiah was in hot water again, but pulled off another immunity win, insuring him safety for another round. This is where Sierra came to him and Wes and offered them a final 3 deal if they voted Rachel out, and he accepted. At the final four, when the majority wanted Brett gone, Jeremiah decided to side with Brett and vote for Carter, since Carter had in total found 3 idols and won some challenges, he thought he was way too threatening to bring any further. Jeremiah's vote caused Brett and Carter to go to fire making, and Brett won, sending Carter to the jury. Jeremiah was then able to win the final immunity challenge, and he chose to stick true to his deal with Sierra, and he sent Brett home.
