after the stretch of the 10's and early 20's seasons i gave the amazing race a reputation of having lackluster premieres with cookie cutter "2 groups in flights, 1 shitty roadblock, auto ellim rinse and repeat" but the past few premieres have been BRINGING IT right off the bat.
which is funny because the tasks this episode were kinda lame? (BOTH tasks being "game show" tasks... almost a waste of a night leg) but the route info's, the CAST, and the tar14-esque hell navigation to a location within walking distance was great.
i will admit i was spoiled and knew art and jj were going home. which is why i was BEYOND confused when they arrived to the 2nd roadblock before rupert and laura because it seemed like it was a pretty lame ass throwaway task... Then i started to realize just HOW embarrassing and delicious their exit would be < 333
*camera cuts to the HEROES of the season*
RUPERT (drenched in sweat): oh i give up i dont know
LAURA (confused holding a hat): well standing here doing nothing isnt going to help :/
In red font on the bottom of the screen: time spent in park: 2:00:00 starts to tick L M A O
the way in which RUPERT AND LAURA single handedly defeated the evil of the season is fucking beautiful and the dramatic irony of knowing it all happening was one case where being spoiled made it a LOT of fun.
ugh being an amazing race truther finally being vindicated after so many horrible ass seasons, and now its producing seasons FAR better than survivor or big brother have in years. ugh yes
this season will (hopefully) be iconic
read the spoilers too but it was literally like 6 months ago or whenever they were filming so I dont really remember and I dont plan on looking them up again
lionsden121 absolutely horrible in their first season. they were on rachel's first season and were major drama starters with her and overall were just nasty and disgusting
