Just now finished kingdom hearts 3

imageoverall i enjoyed it a lot. The tangled world in particular had me in AWE. I was still in absolute awe i had the game in my hands at all and every word that came out of Rapunzel's mouth as she was in awe of her world were the exact thoughts going through my mind the developers knew what they were doing

in terms of nitpicking however the game was VERY easy (on proud). On first playthrough of kingdom hearts 2 i probably died more separately to demyx/xigbar/xaldin/the beauty and the beast chandelier lion boss/xemnas (before figuring out you had to press 2 different buttons to deflect the lasers at the VERY end) than i did in the entirety of kingdom hearts 3.

also some of the plot points are VERY convoluted even for kingdom hearts standards. the time traveling... the past version of riku which i thought was just the chain of memories replica but apparently that replica was inside riku the whole time? The toys in the toy story world ending up just being like "oh okay its fine ^_^" staying in their messed up dimension after nothing is resolved...? Also the way Roxas (and especially xion) returned was rushed and messy. Also when Larxene talked about being "along for the ride" I really thought i missed something that was SUPER vague. Not to mention all the questions about the master of masters and the ~box~ are pretty much still out in the open.

but that kind of baggage is the norm for the series so i cant really hold that as so much of a negative. oh well time to wait for the potential final mix dlc and/or whatever the next messy turn the series will take < 3
