WOW @ the survivor premiere

imageI cant even get coherent thoughts together that was such a GRIPPING episode. I dont think a survivor premiere has ever suceeded so thoroughly at getting you INVESTED so fast. the first thing you notice is that this cast is by FAR the best cast they have gathered in years. and not only that but the cast has such an interesting mix of personalities where even though theres the contrived "david" and "goliath" themes theres people from all different sectors on each tribe.

speaking of contrived themes the editing is a LOT less predictable and eyeroll worthy this time around which is the next most striking difference. the editing and the personal moments interwoven with the strategy in the PERFECT balance for a premiere. The david tribe as a whole has potential to be one of the best survivor tribes in a while even tho theres probably a swap in like 2 rounds so we wont get the full effect but still.

In terms of a winner the one quote that was like one of the best winner quotes in recent memory was when john was like "all my characters wont win me the game i will" or something along those lines so i have my eye on him. Also the fact that christian isnt edited as a journey edit or as socially inept is amazing for his chances so those are probably my top 2. Elizabeth also has her pair with lyrsa (which christian does too) which is always such a telling edgic trope so those along with maybe gabby are probably my top 4 atm based on preliminary thoughts.

ALSO one thing that intrigued me was how they handled nick this episode. they way they presented him as this hyperaware confessional screamer who steamrolls over everyone and gets away with it because hes so amazing and then for him to come to that epiphany where he sort of realizes it i found to be a really interesting single episode storyline in particular. i explained it rlly bad but if you watched the ep you know what i mean!

overall this is the first survivor(us) premiere in a while that has given me this much to talk about and im (tentatively) quite excited about whats to come and if the season keeps up with what is established in the premiere then i will eat my words about survivor being absolute ass!

Can't wait to read this based on the title alone. I watched big brother first and dvr spoiled the very end NG credit with some guy talking and it wasn't showing Tribal votes so I assume med evaved? Idk we will see shortly now I'm inspired to watch
