Like sure consumers are freaking out but pre-obama era did ISP abuse the system set out for them when Bush was in power?
Plus look at this, what if all but one ISP charges extra things, the one that didnt will get all the consumers while the others will be left in the dust
Just my view on it, I am against the repeal but I just thought I put my two sense in

Well to be fair the culture of microtransactions didn't even exist
The Internet also has grown tremendously before everyone owned a smart phone a plan like this to gouge customers wouldn't have really worked that well
Some people don't even get traditional cable anymore, they just use Hulu and Netflix which both depend on a strong Internet connection (but AT&T and Spectrum now have the power to slow their connections down so consumers choose to buy cable, or they can just pay a fee)
Brandonator but consumers will go to ISPs that offer more for less, so most likely ISP wont do shit or something really major or their going to lose a lot of business both in the consumer area and advertising
Brandonator Think about it, Let's say one ISP is going to start charging for website viewing but other companies arent doing that yet
No one is willing to pay money to that ISP when they can go to another ISP and not pay at all leaving the ISP who make the dumb mistake to charge it with less income
