Unpopular opinion

Feb 11, 2020 by sihz
Boston Rob is not a good player or winner.

Yes, he can get people to vote with him and is socially "decent" but he lacks the ability to control the perception of his threat level and thats why his name is always thrown around which is a bad thing cuz at some point youre gonna get out anyway. And the only reason he won RI was because his cast had the IQ of a bag of rocks and were mostly socially inepts plus he already played 3 times before and in case he was voted out, he'd still come back from RI so that season was handed to him lmao.

I dont think there was changing his threat level after allstars tbh

I don't think those are actually unpopular opinions among hardcore fans.

people say his not a good winner but if you look at it it took him 4 times to win so he might be a good player but is a good winner? fuck no redemption island is one if not the worst seasons of survivor rob did nothing in his first season in his 2nd he got robbed but he didnt win so his a good player but the 3rd time he played he flopped and the 4th time was basically the survivor gods giving him the win

piesyumyyumypies i definitely agree with you about how he played in Marquesas. I definitely agree he was robbed of the title in All-Stars by a bitter jury that he created, but he did play masterfully that season. I wouldn't necessarily blame his flop in Heroes vs. Villains on him. Had Tyson not been a moron and cast that Parvati vote and then Coach been an even bigger moron and not flip over to Russell's side following Tyson's blunder...Rob controls that entire tribe and who knows what would've happened. So, I blame his flop on Tyson and Coach. As for RI, yeah the cast was pretty much horrendous, and production handing him a win. I blame most of this on his tribe though...they pretty much were dumb and up his ass the whole game, whereas Russell's tribe was after Russell from day one. Had Rob's tribe been half as smart as Russell's tribe, it could've been a way different season, but I definitely think the way the tribes were split was production rigging...although he still played a masterful game given what he had to work with.

tldr - Other than Marquesas I think he played good the other 3 times, and had it not been for Tyson and Coach being morons he'd have made it a lot further in HvV
