Overall it was an amazing episode going over different boot edits starting off with Elizabeth in trouble thanks to drunk Carl, then all of sudden it seems that Dan is being set up to a blindside due to his clear connection with Kara, and then we get caught up onto Alec's storyline with his massive screentime and double agent gameplay that seems to have him on the fence and to finally call it off with Angelina's brutal mistake to heartfeltly tell Elizabeth that she's going only for Elizabeth to attempt to save herself at tribal by throwing Angelina under the bus for her apparent disloyalty to the Goliaths.
Even tho I stan Angelina, she fucked up and part of me wanted her to leave for the shock value honestly but Elizabeth getting the boot just felt... right. She had no allies and with that weak temperament, obviously it was bound to happen. I'm just disppointed it was unanimous, considering Gabby cried prior to the vote in hopes to touch the Goliaths' hearts and to save Elizabeth so yeah that was pointless and rather counter-productive for Gabby.
On the other side Alec's double agent strategy is somewhat solid for the merge episode bc theres clearly a division between both original tribes, and as we've seen, sticking only to your tribe stops you from playing your own game to win it; however if you're gonna play both sides then at least don't get caught, and he's already planting seeds of doubt among the Goliaths thanks to Natalia's blindside
I do believe this is one of the best casts we have had in a while in survivor, at least in the new generation. I don't think there's a single filler in the remaining players and I lowkey root for 90% of them in diff ways? Dan is predictable and John is somewhat rootable as I don't think he's as one dimensional as the previous machos we have had on the show before. Alison has so much potential I wish they'd show more of her.. yeah i don't feel like writing anymore lol oh and im really enjoying the lack of advantages honestly
matthew09 i mean id rather see everyone actually involving themselves talking than the main 3 characters per season telling a full predictable story, if that makes sense. I honestly was living for this multiple boot edits.
