FINAL THOUGHTS
— YAS at both starting tribes being split 5-5. I love when that happens, makes it easier to write for.
— For the final “noobie” season, I’d say this is a bottom five season, I was not really happy with the overall boot list but was happy with how it all ended up.
— Billie Lourd and Carla Hall were ROBBED.
— I loved Tierra and was rooting for her!
— Finally, TheChanelOberlin had a player that didn’t flop!

ALL STAR POTENTIALS

Edward Holcroft, 12th Place, a low-key fan of the game, Edward Holcroft came to play the game with the intent on returning with the title. Instantly, however, he was seen as a physical asset to his tribe, being one of the stronger players on his tribe, however, after he voted in the minority in the first vote, he soon realized his journey to the top would be much more difficult, losing close ally Shenae Grimes early on and being on the bottom with Sui He and Tierra Whack for most of his game. He and Sui developed a very strong bond in the game and anticipated, after surviving a swap together to reach the merge, on controlling the rest of the game, however, when Tierra and he’s names both came up, he turned the table on Tierra, a move that hurt his close ally Sui, and together she and Tierra, with the rest of the tribe, agreed that Edward’s moves seemed far too desperate and he was a physical threat, to boot. With these in mind, he became the merger boot and landed as jury member one.

Tierra Whack , 10th Place, one of the most outspoken players of the season, Tierra Whack came to play with a “balls to the wall” game mentality. Immediately, she rubbed most of her tribe the wrong way and had a huge target on her back after she voted in the minority and started a fight at camp upon their return. Despite this, however, she proved to be a very savvy player as well, finding an idol at her camp very early on and using it as leverage to survive vote after vote. Despite not having any true allies, however, she was able to survive the swap and advance to the merge. Immediately at the merge, however, she became an easy target for her outspokenness but her idol kept her until the top ten but without it and with no immunity necklace - - and after Carla Hall played her idol - - Tierra’s game finally came to an end, landing in tenth place.

Billie Lourd , 8th Place, one of the youngest players in the game, Billie started her game on the Millennials tribe and was instantly seen as the “princess” of the tribe, getting away with being lazy and attaching herself to the stranger men, notably Patrick Schwarzenegger - - whom she had a relationship closely outside of the game. With Patrick, Billie joined with Daveed, Sana, and Michael and the five controlled the pre-merge portion of the game, however, Billie’s game was turned upside down when her closest ally Patrick was blindsided right before the merge. Despite this, Billie re-grouped and the four seemed to be right on track to reach the finale, however, when Sui proved to be one of the biggest wishy-washy players in the game’s history, the alliance slowly was picked off-on-by-one and when Billie, with two immunity wins under her belt already, failed to win a third, she was eliminated by the Gen X alliance + Sui in eighth place for being seen as the biggest threat moving forward.

Carla Hall , 7th Place, the extreme fan favorite of the game, Carla came into it with one goal in mind and that was to be the fan favorite. And she certainly attained that, trending on Twitter(TM) the entire season and being a fun spirit throughout the game. She had a tight alliance with Matthew, Mark-Paul, Drew, and Adam and despite losing Drew and Adam pre-merge, she was able to maintain a majority for most of the merge. She even found two separate idols that were played in very critical ways, however, as it got down to the knitty-gritty, even her allies viewed her as the biggest threat jury wise and despite searching to find a third idol, she came up short and was ousted in seventh place.

Matthew McConaughey , 5th Place, the leader of Millennials vs Gen X for most of the season, Matthew McConaughey exceeded expectations that were given for him prior to the season’s start. Being one of the biggest names in the cast, he took control of the leadership position on his original tribe and built a very strong alliance pre-merge. He was closest with Mark-Paul Gosselaar and the duo looked like they were well on their way to the finale. Surviving the swap, despite losing Adam and Drew, Matthew, Carla, and Mark-Paul entered the merge and picked off the millennials one-by-one. When Mark-Paul convinced Matthew to turn on Carla, he did so, however, it was quickly there after that Matthew realized Mark-Paul was playing his own game and despite attempting to blindside him, Matthew’s game came to a close when Mark-Paul convinced everyone else that he was the bigger threat and he landed in fifth place.

Sui He , Runner Up, another one of the youngest players in the game, and a true beauty at that, Sui He came to the game with one goal in mind; prove that anyone can do anything they put their mind to. And she certainly had the opportunity to prove that, as she was faced with great adversity in the game, voting in the minority initially and having close ally Shenae Grimes be blindsided, however, after quickly banding together with Edward Holcroft, the duo formed a final two and agreed that they’d do what they could to get off of the bottom. They were lucky to be swapped into a majority and sailed to the merge, however, when Edward was viewed as the biggest threat and Sui didn’t want the association with a threat, she backstabbed him and proved to be a black widow, voting with the majority just to save herself for the rest of her game. In the end, however, despite reaching the finale, she received no votes when everyone felt she road the coattails of those in the majority positions and didn’t play a clean, loyal game and she earned the status of co-runner up.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar , Sole Survivor, the teen heartthrob of the ‘90s, Mark-Paul Gosselaar came to the game and wanted to prove that he wasn’t just a washed up-quasi celebrity. And he did not fail to prove it, forming a tight alliance with Matthew, Carla, Drew, and Adam early on, the alliance controlled the first part of the game, however, at the swap when they became separated, Drew and Adam fell by the wayside and Mark-Paul entered the merge in the minority. After his close ally, Carla, however, found an idol, he and Matthew opted to use it as leverage to pick the former millennials off one-by-one and the soon became the power trio. Wanting to prove that they weren’t just out for themselves, Mark-Paul and Matthew backstabbed Carla to prove loyalty to Corey and Sana, a new alliance that was formed and picked off Daveed shortly after. Mark-Paul separated himself from Matthew in the most shocking vote of the season when he was forced to play an idol he secretly found to excel him into the final four and then into the finals where his opponents, Sui and Corey, were seen as lesser plays than he and he was awarded the prize in a 9-0 vote, making him the sole survivor.
