John Legend, 12th Place, one of the most popular players to enter the game, John Legend came to Nicaragua, along with his wife Chrissy Teigen, and the two had ultimate plans and goals to run the game until the end. The duo, however, were crushed when they were placed on separate tribes in the start of the game and despite goals to reach each other during a swap, this goal also did not pan out. John was forced to form a tight alliance with others - - Snoop Dogg and Chaz Dean - - and the trio kept each other safe until the merge, however, when Chrissy and John were reunited, the majority alliance, despite Chrissy’s attempts to sway the vote, opted to send John Legend home as juror one to ensure Chrissy would remain loyal to them over him.
Michelle Pfeiffer, 11th Place, the biggest name amongst the cast arguably, Michelle Pfeiffer came to Nicaragua and instantly hit the ground running. Forming what promised to be one of the most dominant women’s alliances ever between she, Cindy Bishop, Britney Spears, and Fergie, the four - - along with Skeet Ulrich - - controlled Espada during the early stages, with Michelle was the leader who called the shots. However, their perfect game came crashing down when a tribal swap forced Cindy Bishop and Britney Spears out of the game and despite surviving this travesty, Michelle was never able to regain control of the game and was sent home as juror two when Fergie orchestrated a counter-alliance to send her home.
Kylie Jenner, 9th Place, wanting to change up her privileged reputation, Kylie Jenner came to Nicaragua with the goal of running things and being someone that shocked others. And she certainly put forth great effort, forming a strong bond with Israel Broussard and Aaron Tveit, she hoped attaching herself to strong men could carry her to a point to call the shots, however, after losing Israel in the first vote, Kylie struggled to regain control of the game and despite infamously idoling Chace Crawford out of the game as well as voting alongside the majority in the first merger votes, she was never able to get a handle on the game and was voted out when the others viewed her as an easy boot.
Chrissy Teigen, 7th Place, entering the game with her husband John Legend, Chrissy Teigen hoped to have a luxurious vacation and game with him, however, the two were separated by tribe in the beginning and Chrissy was forced to play solo. Although not in a solidified alliance, Chrissy attached herself to the majority on the La Flor and was able to survive the votes until the swap, however, when she and John were still not placed together, she was yet again forced to vote with the majority which got her to the merge, however, she and John was yet again separated when he was voted off. Chrissy was able to manipulate her way to survive each round and used her “attach myself to the majority” strategy until, however, the majority decided it was her time to go and despite almost surviving a split vote, Chrissy was banished in seventh place.
Saara Aalto, 6th Place, one of the lesser known stars of the game, Saara Aalto came to Nicaragua and was instantly considered to be one of the biggest strategical threats in the game, forming a very tight alliance in the early stages that helped her not only dominate the pre-merge but the merger as well. In addition, Saara found a critical idol that saved her from elimination at the top eight, however, her ally Lauren turned on her at the top six when she felt Saara would win in the end and eliminated her in sixth place.
Fergie, 5th Place, fan favorite Fergie entered the game with one goal: make people forget about that national anthem! And she started out strong, banding together with the women early on, however, after losing two key allies early on, Fergie opted to jump ship when it was time to dethrone Michelle Pfeiffer and she carried this momentum out by aligning closely with Skeet Ulrich and Chaz Dean. The trio controlled the last half of the game together, however, when Chaz wanted to bring two goats to the finale with him, he opted to send Fergie home when he felt she had a big chance at winning the final immunity and the femme fatale was banished from the island in fifth place.
Skeet Ulrich, 4th Place, another fan favorite, Skeet Ulrich came to Nicaragua and constantly reminded fans of how his family was motivating him to win. He wanted to show his children that if you put your mind towards anything you can achieve it. And Skeet certainly fought to do that, smartly banding with the strong women’s alliance in the early stages and knowing when to jump ship when the ship was sinking, sticking by Fergie whom he had a final two pact with, as well as new allies Snoop Dogg, John Legend, and Chaz Dean. At the merge, despite losing two key members, the trio of Skeet, Fergie, and Chaz controlled the game, however, when Fergie was ousted and Skeet was unable to win the final immunity, Chaz viewed him as the last non-goat remaining and sent him home as the last juror.
Chaz Dean, Sole Survivor, one of the most polarizing amongst the cast, Chaz Dean came to Nicaragua to play the game well - - but also to promote WEN(TM) Shampoo. Despite his love for shampoo, Chaz let viewers in on his love for the game of Survivor, a show he had never missed an episode of. Despite not being in the majority alliance ran by Michelle Pfeiffer, he banded with two strong men - - John Legend and Snoop Dogg - - and this bond kept Chaz safe at the tribals he attended. At the merge, however, when both of his allies were ousted — one due to a medical evacuation - - Chaz was forced to make new plans and when he found allies in Skeet Ulrich and Fergie, he was able to sail smoothly to the top five where, with the help of his goats Lauren Alaina and Loïc Nottet he was able to backstab his new allies in 5th and 4th place due to his fear of them beating him in the end. At the final tribal council, Chaz successfully argued that he played a far superior game compared to the other two and he was given the win.
