My point is that communism doesn't work and has never worked. And you don't really seem to be refuting me at all. It works in theory, but never in practice because it becomes a totalitarian state. I prefer to have a voice in my government, thanks.

I understand in a lot of the countries it was attempted it became as bad as nazi germany what they did not have was a communist leader and also greece forgot them they have only just become communist but they where voted in because of what a capatalist government did to its people maxiphone27
rowan22 wikipedia disagrees with you about Greece and I trust it over you, sorry. And you are claiming that a small number of them do well, but when there are only 4 communist states in the present and all of them are rather horrible, your argument kind of falls apart. Also you havent mentioned a FUNCTIONING communist country (unless you want to argue that Greece is functional? LOL)
Ok well lets see am I a happy Cuban lving a moderate lifestyle of maybe an American teen who gets bullied to death or a war veteran who is now homeless. I am european and I would much rather live in Cuba Laos or Vietnam as would many many people I know And also do you know who is in power in Greece. Or why its so fucked up.

rowan22 well for one thing Cuba was ruled by a horrible dictator until like 3 years ago who would massacre his own people. Ever heard of Fidel Castro? The Cuban people were NOT happy. To be fair, I don't know much about anything more current than that but I kind of doubt Cuba changed into a wonderous paradise.
I know nothing about Laos, but the Vietnamese were also ruled by a dictator for a long period of time (There's a reason the capital changed it's name from Saigon to Ho Chi Minn city after the war, it's because Ho Chi Minn was in power).
Prove to me that Laos is functioning.
Also your first paragraph is stupid as fuck. I'm an American 20 year old and I'm happy as fuck. Give me statistics (and cite them) if you're going to try and argue things like that.
I guess you have easily won this argument beause you use statistics. But what I am gonna finish on is this. Do you mind lving a harder life for a easier life for others. Not living this easy life but working not just for yourself but for others.
And lets speak of killings. You say Ho-chi-min was a dictator. Maybe. However he did not massacre the buddhists like his predeccessor and he did not massacare the civllians like the American soldiers. Also Israelis go up to Palastinian villiages massacre their residents demolish the town and build cities for jews on top of them. Why do they get away with it. Because they buy American weapons so America gets money so America turns a blindeye.
And I guess we just presume that you are a completley accurate representation of all americans. You can see on this very site people who are american and so unhappy with their lives.
