Gabriel, Kris, Maddalyn, and Eric are all sitting around a small fire. Gabriel and Kris are sitting together, laughing at each other's jokes while Eric and Maddalyn talk about their lives so far.
Gabriel readjusts his position so that he lays down next to Kris, while continuing the conversation.
"So what was your favorite thing to do in your 'Career' District?" Gabriel asks, using air quotes around the word Career.
"Nothing really, all the older kids were always training, just in case they were chosen. I didn't get it to be honest." Kris replies.
"Yeah I was wondering about that, why were you so quick to get rid of your career allies?" Gabriel asks.
"I just always hated being one of those career districts, and literally all the tributes that are apart of my district are really stuck up and annoying. I hate it and I just never liked the way they treated everyone else." Kris says. Gabriel smiles.
"That's really nice. You're really easy to talk to, never said that to anyone else by the way." Gabriel says.
"Well you're really cute, never said the anyone else either." Kris says. Gabriel blushes, but their intimacy is interrupted by a rustling noise. The group get up from their seats to look for the source when an arrow flies out from the bush, striking Maddalyn in the chest.
BOOM!
Kylie jumps out from the bush with a sword and charges at Gabriel and Kris. Both boys do not have their weapons so they bolt as fast as they can away through the forest. Kylie quickly follows them. Eric however runs the opposite way, and Caitlin then appears from the bushes and fires another arrow from her bow. The arrow hits Eric in his leg and he falls to the ground. Caitlin limps over to him, Eric now scrunched up against a tree while Caitlin stands above him.
"Any last words?" Caitlin asks.
"He has none, but I have two. Die bitch!" A voice says as the tribute slams a rock into Caitlin's head.
BOOM!
Tanner stands above Eric with an outstretched hand. Eric grabs it and stands up.
"We should go now." Tanner says, picking up the bow and arrows.
"Together?" Eric asks, confused.
"Well duh." Tanner says as he begins running through the forest. Eric follows.
Gabriel and Kris sprint through the forest, when Gabriel grabs Kris and pulls him behind a tree. He holds a finger to his lip and prepares himself to jump onto Kylie as she passes by. Not a few seconds later she runs by, and Gabriel attacks. She falls to the ground, hard, dropping her sword on the way. Kris goes for the sword and picks it up. He turns around and finds the two sprawled out on the floor, both twisting and turning each other. Kris couldn't find a good time to attack without hurting Gabriel. Gabriel grabs a vine on the floor and wraps it around Kylie's neck and makes it tight. Kylie slowly loses air but Gabriel's grip doesn't falter.
BOOM!
"Thanks for the help, asshole." Gabriel says, walking away furiously.
"I couldn't find a right time to get him!" Kris says, chasing after him
Timmy and Maxine travel into the desert, holding their stomachs as they haven't eaten since they had the fox. They see a small fire in the distance. They look at each other.
"We need help." Timmy says as they begin to walk towards it. They find a black girl, eating what looks like to be a chicken leg. It was the girl from 12.
"Hey," Maxine says weakly. Sharkeisha turns around quickly, grabbing her dagger from her pocket and holding out at them.
"No no no! We don't mean any harm. We just wanted an ally." Timmy says. His stomach growls.
Sharkeisha nods.
"So you both are hungry huh?" Sharkeisha asks. The two nod.
"Yeah sure why not, been pretty lonely out here." Sharkeisha says with a smile. The two go around to the campfire while Sharkeisha rips a piece of chicken off for the two to eat.
Daniel and Essence sit by the edge of the arena, sharpening the one dagger that they have, and a sharp rock that Essence thought was cool.
"So I'm glad no one has came over here yet..." Essence says.
"Yeah, usually in the games I've seen, someone usually comes over here, but I guess we got lucky." Daniel says.
Suddenly, Daniel, who was closer to the edge of the arena, gets shocked and flies across the mountainous region and crashes into a large rock.
"FUCK!" Daniel screams, both shocked and in pain. Essence runs over to him in shock.
"What happened?" Essence asks.
"I-I don't know! Wait...the arena...its shrinking..." Daniel says, holding his arm that is now bleeding.
"Well then we need to go!" Essence says, helping Daniel up as the two limp off towards the forest.
Julian sits in a tree, clutching his dagger. He plans to wait out the rest of the tributes until they die. He couldn't handle conflict. Suddenly a girl appears about fifty feet away from him. She begins to walk in his direction and Julian covers his mouth to avoid him being spotted. As she gets closer he sees that she is very pretty and that she is, Susu, the girl from 1.
She gets to Julian's tree and instead of passing right by it she stops, and begins to sit down under the tree to rest. Julian was tempted to jump down and kill her, but he promised himself he wouldn't do that. 'She would leave soon', Julian thought just as nightfall approached and Susu fell asleep as did Julian, who was right above her.
