question with anyone with a mac

I just got a mac and when using it, like every 10 seconds I hear a low beep what is this, or what program is this

jamieandre I have nothing opened, I thought it may be a Skype message or imessage but I don't get either of those and it beeps

pugsrule13579 I dunno then. google it, the forums usuall tells u what to do if its a computer problem
