Like my roommate is driving home to San Francisco and I could go with her and ive never been there so that would be p cool, but I havent seen my family or friends home since last christmas.
What do we think girlies? Honestly being home is kinda rough for other stuff so i wouldnt be that upset about not going, but I know my mom misses me a lot and id also really like to see my best friend back home. At the same time though, seeing San Francisco would be prettu cool and my roommate and I could have a really nice christmas with her family, and that would prevent me from having to fly cross country back and forth.

i say you should go to san francisco and just get on a zoom call with your mom and best friend and stuff!
I wouldn't advise going anywhere, but if you insist, San Francisco isn't super unsafe covid wise.. most major cities have way more cases. But also i'm pretty sure they're strongly advising against travelers coming in/out of California.
memphis_grizzlies yeah im not thrilled about going anywhere, but if im here over xmas it would just be me and the 2 roommates I hate and i honestly dont think i could take it, but we would drive straight from seattle to palo alto and just be at her house so i feel like thats my safest compromise
i live like 15 mins from Palo Alto, its a rly wealthy and like disciplined area so i don't think they would have that much covid there but you never know. you guys probably should get tested right before though if you end up going there though peterya
I'd go with what Memphis suggested. I personally wouldn't be traveling now, but if you're just driving to her house it's not as bad. You should get tested and her family should as well before you go there to play things safe.
I wouldn't personally want to go on a flight right now, definitely not the safest time for travel, and it sounds like you wouldn't want to bring your family germs either. It does suck not being able to see your parents though :( hopefully you can have a nice video call with them for awhile on the holidays.
